2019 Off-Season Trade Thread

How did you get anything for Adams!?! The Eagles fan in my league wont even touch him. Well done.

Why is everyone so low on Adams?
He was great in college. He really was. People just wrote him off because he had an elite line and so everyone just assumed he was a product of the line.
He went undrafted mostly because a report about a foot injury requiring surgery surfaced like two days before the draft (I think Mayock broke the news), and bigger RBs needing foot surgery...there's no guarantee he'd play preseason, the rookie year, or even ever again until you know how the surgery went and how he rehabs. That's not worth the draft pick to GMs when there are plenty of healthy camp bodies to select.
He's past the injury. He showed he was healthy. He looked (IMO) like the best RB on the Eagles when he was given the carries. The Eagles have not been bringing in anyone. Maybe they'll draft someone, maybe not. The one bad thing for Adams...is that the Eagles coaching staff historically runs a heavy committee, and likely will continue to do so. Adams can still be good in spurts, and there's a chance that he could show enough to force the coaches hand into giving him a lead RB workload.

adams had 5 games with double digit carries, 2 of those he had a 1.9 ypc, 3 of the 5 he was sub 4.0 ypc.

adams played 3 snaps in the playoffs lol

Are you aware that Adams had a few rather large runs (I believe a couple for long TDs) called back? I believe at least one of them was a hold on the opposite end of the line, entirely non-effective to the success of the run. That's just from my recollection, though. Through my biased eyes, he looked a lot better than the box score indicates.

I agree, but the Eagles dont and thats ultimately what matters. Even though he looked and performed the best out of the group, they didnt trust him down the stretch and now theres rumors they might cut him. Combine that with the likelihood of the Eagles taking an RB, and its easy to see why he isnt valued very much right now.

I'll be surprised if they don't draft one of the better RB in the draft. He looked like the best RB after Ajayi went down, but there wasn't much to compete with. I don't think he's anything more than a decent backup.

Finally, got sick of the offseason Derick Henry hype over the last few years only to be let down. So I decided it was time to move him before his value goes away again. The other team only had Gronk (retired) and I had Kittle, Howard and Ebron, so I figured I could package a TE with Henry to get a better RB. Took a couple back and forths but this was sent by the other team which I accepted.

I gave: D. Henry, OJ. Howard + 2020 2nd
I got: K. Johnson, Gronk (maybe he changes his mind) + 2020 3rd

I likely overpaid but was desperate for a WR1, and I couldn't count on Fuller or the 1.01. I still feel pretty good about it.
