2018 Coaching Changes
Re: 2018 Coaching Changes
Will Gase help or hurt Darnold? What about guys like Herndon?

I'm bummed about my Herndon shares. Miami TE have been non existent.
In too many leagues to list players. Check out my Dynasty Deep Dive!

Help for Darnold. He made Miami competitive with Tannehill somehow.Weknownothing86 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 10:24 pm Will Gase help or hurt Darnold? What about guys like Herndon?

Not that I am a Gase fan, but he also was the OC when Denver had Julius Thomas also.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

Re: 2018 Coaching Changes
Adam Gase remind me soo much of Todd Haley. Both are considered offensive gurus from their works in Denver/Chicago and Arizona/Pittsburgh but when they got their shots in Miami and KC respectively they fizzled out. Both coaches have players that ended up loving them like Manning and Big Ben but they also rubbed many players the wrong way such as Ajayi or Anquan Bolden. I feel that both of these coaches would be much better suited as OC or head coaches in College where they have total control of a roster. The combination of their combustible personalities and millionaire players seems to be a recipe for drama. As a Bears fan I will say Gase got best season out of Cutler so he does have some skill but ill bet he has drama with a couple Jets players in no time.Blueboy wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 8:49 pmCovered the Dolphins beat since Gase got hired. Seems like a strong offensive mind, hard to tell whether the team's failings fall more on him or on chance things. I don't know who could've done better with Tannehill, they should've cut and run on him long ago. Also worth noting that ownership in Miami is shoddy at best.Nanananananana wrote: ↑Wed Jan 09, 2019 7:44 pm Gase
Any dolphins fans here that think this guy was good at all?
That said, I wouldn't want Gase to coach my favorite team. The constant stories of drama surrounding the Dolphins haven't sat well with me, Gase seems like a real "my way or the highway" type coach.

Bengals expected to hire Zac Taylor (Rams QB coach)
No idea what this means for them, but the Dolphins are now the only open job.

My wife is a Bengals fan and she asked me if this was a good hire. I honestly have no clue what to expect of the Bengals.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 5:09 pm Bengals expected to hire Zac Taylor (Rams QB coach)

As a Bengals fan, im not sure any of us know if Taylor is a good hire. I wanted Bieniemy personally, but anything is better than Hue.

Re: 2018 Coaching Changes
Given the perception that Lewis should have been fired years ago, I think Taylor will be given years of rope to learn and develop. What the rest of the staff looks like will be important. The Rams brought in Wade Phillips to control the defense for McVay. Maybe Gregg Williams could perform a similar role in Cincinnati.Phaded wrote: ↑Thu Jan 10, 2019 5:52 pmMy wife is a Bengals fan and she asked me if this was a good hire.
