It is bad optics. Period.

Whether you see it or not, doesn't matter. Nor does it matter whether you agree or not.

The fact that some see it (me included) is the definition of optics. They all deserved to be fired. But it's a bad look for a league struggle from a PR perspective over the last few years.

And it's a perfectly appropriate thread to bring it up in.
It is only bad optics to racists. The fact that the whole league isn’t all white is also bad optics, if you are a racist white nationalist. This is completely inappropriate
All right then. No point in trying to have an intelligent discussion.
and now you see why I moved on, lol

Why did race get thrown into this? These were coaches who needed to go. Nothing racist about it. Not even remotely. It baffles me that this is being suggested.

Sure, literally anything can be considered good or bad "optics" because all it takes is one person thinking it. Yes, there's someone out there who thinks it is racist. There's probably also someone who thinks Julio is a lizard who sold his soul to the illuminati. Doesn't make either of them right, and it shouldn't really count as optics when it's such a minority opinion.

Eh the only coach I feel bad for is Joseph. No one can win with what the front office gave him.

This wasn't being suggested at all. I never implied they got fired because they are black.

You suggested that others will suggest it. It's the same thing.

My point is, it wasn't worth bringing up. No rational person would believe that was the reason for their firing.

When the NFL comes up with policy, let's call it the Reptile Rule, to help guide themselves in terms of the Julio Lizard thing I'll give it more consideration.

This thread needs to be locked at this point. Who is a mod who will get this done so I can PM them? Its been totally derailed. The vast majority of people do not want to talk about this on a Fantasy Football forum. Why cant this just be an escape from politics and the racial divide? I dont know any ones race on this forum but we all have one thing in common we love FANTASY FOOTBALL TALK and we can all argue or joke about that and be unified in that. So lets keep it at that and if the thread isn't going to get locked lets just please move on. Its a good thread. Cant wait to see how these changes impact our fantasy teams. As the owner of Herndon and R Anderson I am hoping Bowles being gone only helps that offense.

Falcons let go of Steve Sarkisian. It's been talked about a while, but Darrell Bevell was the anticipated replacement. Uninspiring. Thankfully, Dirk Koetter is now considered the front-runner for Atlanta's OC.

I am personally as a dj owner glad to see the Cardinals fired their hc. That was a total mess. A new hc will not solve all cause the ol needs to receive a major upgrade but that cannot be worse

Keim drafted a QB with a top ten pick and had absolutely no plan to develop that QB. He hired a defensive minded coach and forced that coach to fire his OC several games into the season and has now fired the coach as well after one year. Is he going to force Leftwich on the next coach or will Rosen be on his third system to start his second year? Either way, that is disfunctional management and Keim should’ve be sent packing along with Wilks.

Wilks didn’t get much out of the offensive players, but he was a defensive minded coach and I highly suspect that Leftwich was not his decision. I’m not even sure McCoy was.

I would argue that management is the problem in Denver, Cincinnati and New York as well and the fired coaches act as the scapegoat. Elway has bungled the QB position ever since Peyton retired. Brown let half his o-line walk and his replacement RT was terrible. He also saddles the coach with headcases like Burfict on a consistent basis. MacCagnan has loaded his team with mediocre players.
All I Der Is Win - 16 Team IDP League (Pass TD 6pts)

QB - Stafford, Stroud, Tune
RB - Swift, Hall, Penny, Bigsby, Ford
WR - Pittman, Olave, Di. Johnson, G. Wilson, J. Williams, Metchie, Robinson, M. Wilson
TE - Okonkwo, Schoonmaker
LB - Brooks, R. Smith, Phillips
DL - Crosby, Allen, Simmons
DB - D. James, Baker, Delpit
K - Just a stupid kicker
