That's a very good team, but not unbeatable in a 10 team SF 2TE league. Looks like the league is overreacting. Give the new orphan owner that squad and take on the challenge of beating them.

Re: League Winner Quit the League... What to do?
A lot can change in one yr, while that team is great now, it doesn't mean it will be great next season. To put this in perspective, just go back in time one yr ago...
this would of been called a superteam in 2017:
Starters:
QB: Aaron Rodgers
RB: Lev Bell
RB: Len Fournette
WR: Odell Beckham
WR: Doug Baldwin
WR: Jarvis Landry
Flex: Devonta Freeman
Flex: AJ Green
Superflex: Carson Wentz
TE: Evan Engram
TE: Gronk
Def: Jags
K: Gostowski
This yr that "superteam" would of been lucky to even make the playoffs.
Meanwhile you could of had this "uglier" team last season...that would go on to be absolutely nuts this yr.
Starters:
QB: Andrew Luck
RB: James Conner
RB: Christian McCaffery
WR: Tyreek Hill
WR: Tyler Boyd
WR: Adam Thielen
Flex: Tarik Cohen
Flex: James White
Superflex: Pat Mahomes
TE: Eric Ebron
TE: OJ Howard
Def: Bears
K: Butker
Obvs hindsight is 20/20, but like I said, a lot can change in one yr. I'd just give the new owner that "superteam" and let it play out

Ya that's a very good team, but far from invincible or guaranteed to stay at the top forever.

Re: League Winner Quit the League... What to do?
Agree on the dispersal draft and am amazed somebody (with a good team especially) quit a league over remarks. Actually, I am not surprised at all, but I kind of hope there was more to it than that. If you enjoy a hobby, quitting over somebody's opinion on a controversial topic is disappointing. There are plenty of other ways/places to play FF, but building a good dynasty team and having to abandon it for any reason is difficult. Not asking you to go into details or anything, as we have a couple Hunt threads to debate that topic in already. I don't trash talk at all during the season or poke league mates buttons, just not my thing. But I have found simple tactics during drafts, specifically redrafts, can really really throw people off their game. Fluster your opponent by simple cheering or jeering of a team or player for example has worked so many times. I don't know how or why, but every year it does. Then, I have also witness people whine and cry over something as simple as a team name too....

This^FantasyFreakGuru wrote: ↑Wed Dec 12, 2018 9:27 am Disposal but you cant pick and choose which players to put into the player pool. Its the owners entire squad or they dont participate. Cant throw in your scrubs and hope to get the first pick and get a stud. Thats pointless.
If it's a free league, who cares. Let the new owner have it.

Re: League Winner Quit the League... What to do?
Dispersal for mega team undergoing new ownership and anyone else who wishes to participate definitely seems the best option. Helps balance things out as that sounds like its a problem and there's no longer an issue of a dispersal punishing an owner who's done too good of a job

Re: League Winner Quit the League... What to do?
I'm not sure why you can't just let someone new take over the team? Is there a requirement for a team to be a bottom feeder/rebuilder to get a new owner? Frankly, I'd much rather see an owner leave when they're on top.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

Re: League Winner Quit the League... What to do?
I really don't like the idea of a dispersal draft. How good is this guy's team really? What's his roster?
Re: League Winner Quit the League... What to do?
I’ve heard some interesting ideas on how commishes get mediocre and bad teams sold to new owners, and that’s always a battle.
IMO, don’t need to make this into a battle. You can easily get a new owner for that team, and transferring that ownership doesn’t unfairly affect anyone in the league.
I don’t hate the idea of optional dispersal, but I don’t love it either. Could argue you are unfairly affecting the other strong teams who have built up an advantage over the weaker teams that opt to throw back in.

That or you believe that the new owner has a right to have a significant advantage over all the other teams taking place in the dispersal draft.
Re: League Winner Quit the League... What to do?
Either give me the Orphan or just do the dispersal draft option as others have said.

Yeah I would be tempted to dangle that (solid) team as bait for the right owner. At least you can be picky on who you let in.....
