Emmanuel Sanders injury
Sounds like torn achilles in practice today. This could be it for him if it is full achilles tear, and Sutton gets another huge bump.

Just brutal. I like Hamilton long term, but he's not helping ease the pain this year.Life of Pablo wrote: ↑Wed Dec 05, 2018 12:43 pm Damn. That is rough.

Now they'll probably cut him. It was looking like he'd stay.
Re: Emmanuel Sanders - Torn Achilles
Ouch. Always loved the production I got from him. Glad I sold earlier but you hate to see an older player tear an achilles. Going to be tough to come back from that

Re: Emmanuel Sanders - Torn Achilles
Yeah, it's sad. Honestly I'd sell Sanders for a 3rd. Achilles injuries are incredibly difficult to recover from. Michael Crabtree looks like a shell of his former self, and he wasn't productive at all until two years after his injury.

Re: Emmanuel Sanders - Torn Achilles
So the question is, what does this do for Sutton? Not so much his future outlook, but ROS? Do we have confidence starting him in the fantasy playoffs as a flex type? Would you start him over an Fitz, Alshon Jeffrey or Golden Tate type guys? More proven guys on teams that spread the ball around and/or are under performing this year.

Possible career-ender. Gonna be hard to recover at his age, with enough juice for the NFL.

This sucks. Sanders has become one of the best route runners in the league and so dependable. Hopefully he can comeback from it.

Lost AJG and Sanders for the year on one of my playoff teams.
Oh boy.
Starting Funchess and Josh Reynolds now.

Re: Emmanuel Sanders - Torn Achilles
I've always felt that Sanders was an underappreciated receiver.
This could be the end of his career which would be unfortunate.

Re: Emmanuel Sanders - Torn Achilles
He is certainly no spring chicken anymore. And the older you get, the harder to fully recover from these type of injuries.
Hope he comes back strong but I’m not counting on it.
Does anyone think he will even be healthy enough to start the beginning of next season? I doubt it since the injury happened so late this season.
Maybe it’s time for him to hang it up.
Re: Emmanuel Sanders - Torn Achilles
Someone remind me on the contract rules when someone gets injured. Can they still be cut to free agency as though they were healthy?
Re: Emmanuel Sanders - Torn Achilles
Guess it will be seen if he decides to go the Steve Smith route (also tore his Achilles tendon late in career) or not. I hope he does whatever he feels is best for him.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..
