I own Samuels and was almost hoping Connor plays because I have a SERIOUSLY tough decision if Samuels is RB1. I mean not Samuels vs Chris Godwin or some other meh guy, I'd have to bench a guy like Diggs. Ughhhhhhh. But a PIT RB1 vs the Raiders of all teams? Man...

Why on earth would he be listed as TE.. Odd.

Anyhow, I have long said he is more talented than Conner. Now is his chance.

I remember him being drafted and some news articles saying the Steelers drafted TE J. Samuels. I recall instantly not being interested in a TE/RB hybrid until I watched a little tape.
He’ll be my starting TE this week in yahoo! 😂

He’s listed as a RB/TE hybrid because in college he was a gadgety player and played in both roles, as well as receiver, frequently. When drafted a few sources said he was a Te, not sure if that’s the position he declared as or not.

I’m pretty sure he was in the TE group at the combine as well. Regardless, I’m really looking forward to seeing him get a shot. Like Phaded, I’ve long held that he’s a superior talent to Conner. Hoping he proves me right.

Yep, my league is on Yahoo... and the #4 seed in the playoffs has top waiver priority. At least his starting TE is Kittle. I'd be pissed if it was someone like Burton or Rudolph lol.

I have little doubt he’s the better athlete and the better receiver. I think? he has the requisite vision and instinct to hit the holes in the run game, but I need to see it at the pro level before I say he can be as good of a typical runner as Conner (and I think Conner is over-hyped). If there is a next Bell, Samuels might be it. He’s that big high level receiving ability, flex all over the field type of weapon. Bell has a runner’s vision/instincts, though. I hope Samuels does too...as I bet on it in the rookie draft.

The Yahoo distinction is pretty interesting in redraft formats. Essentially allows you to start 4 RBs (assuming you flex).

In one of my redraft leagues a team was holding Samuels just for this moment. Only 5 man benches too. That lucky mofo is rolling out 5 RBs this week( Samuels at TE and 2 RBs in both flex spots) and he is playing the Conner owner to boot.

Reminds me of when I won multiple leagues back in the day when Marques Colston was a rookie.

TSN and yahoo had him as a TE as that was where he was drafted, never converted him to WR, was basically starting another WR in the TE spot.

I just picked him up on waivers in my Yahoo league and I'm starting him over Uzomah which is a no brainer lol. Any chance Yahoo changes his TE classification before kickoff?
