Week ex-eye-eye-eye/13/XIII Discussion

Postby Pullo Vision » Wed Nov 28, 2018 6:58 pm

So, what guys are you starting the last week of the regular season for most? What matchups/players/teams are you watching?

For my sig team, I'm resorting to Ty Montgomery and Chris Conley. I read somewhere that Atlanta is middling against RBs but horrible against pass catching backs. Conley is a gamble depending on Watkins' health.

Ekeler as my unlikely RB2 hero to make the playoffs.

Side note: whats up with the thread title?

It's weak dead-eye/13/9. Can't you read?

Apparently I do to. I put 11 instead of 9

Im hoping Gordon is out for the entire playoffs. Ekeler/Adams are my new must starts since Godwin and now MVS aren't getting the opportunities anymore.

I got my Roman numbers all messed up, lol.

I agree Ekeler can be a great play this week. Thoughts on Justin Jackson?

Funny thing- there is no number 0 in Roman numbers. I wonder how they did Super Bowl 0? Or year 0?

There was no Super Bowl 0, either in Roman times nor in ours :) , and there was no year 0 either {for Rome or us}, the years went directly from 1 BCE to 1 CE with no zero year in between. They understood the concept of zero but due to their numbering system had no need of a digit to represent it as their numbering system didn't require "placeholder zeros" as in numbering systems widely in use today {base ten, binary, hexadecimal etc}

Coach speak was very in favor of Ekeler and theres speculation they dont trust Jackson. I think he gets some touches but dont think he does anything with them

Coach speak... speculation... Roman numerals. All things we cant trust here.

The Roman "Super Bowl" was a different sport. While the movie had a number of historical inaccuracies, "Gladiator" got the gist right- each year, the various provinces and towns brought their gladiator champions to Rome. It was sort of like an NCAA tournament, where competions at various stadiums would culminate in one final match at The Colosseum.

And that concludes our segment on Romans and sports - come back tomorrow when we shall learn whether the Visigoths, Mongols or the Huns won the first March Madness. :)

Miracle win by .4 points last week to give me divisional lead and in line for a first round bye last week

This matchup feels like a trap game against a non playoff team as he lucked into Eckler, Luck is hot as hell, Galloday will get a 50% target share, and overall good matchups (especially Lindsay vs Cin)

If I lose, I lose my bye :(

4 leagues I'm watching closely:

1. Playoffs in my 32 team basically boil down to ARodgers/Gurley/DJ/Ertz vs. Brees/Dalvin Cook/Woods/Baldwin. I'm nervous, but hopeful. I'm also really considering Gus Edwards over DJ.

2. "Win and I'm in" week in my "home league." It's not 100% but it would take an act of God to keep me out if I lose.

3. Playing for a bye week despite being the 4th best team in a division of 5. But hey, gotta get lucky sometimes! Should be a toss-up.

4. Need a win and someone ahead of me to lose in a Final Fantasy themed league. This is undoubtedly the most balanced league I've ever been in.
