I'm certainly not feeling confident in the Bears if Daniel starts. I'd personally bench Burton for McDonald and will not start the Bears D and instead use the Jags. Short week, on the road. Too much uncertainty.

I agree with the Bears D however I disagree with Burton.

Burton's last 4 games combined with Trubisky: 10 catches for 95 yards. Normally when a backup QB starts, his TE is his favourite option.

I am starting the Bears defense with confidence. No Kerryon or Marvin Jones, will be low scoring probably. I also dont have a superior option either, but I still think they are a strong play and will rise to the occasion.

I'd downgrade them all pretty significantly. I'd bet Cohen is the safest bet here, catching those short dump-offs and quick screens. If you can avoid it I'd sit Miller.

This is very much underrating Daniel IMO. He backed up Brees, under Payton for the Saints, who loved him; then he backed up Smith, under Reid and Nagy, who loved him; and then Nagy brought him to Chicago. I'm not saying he's gonna put up elite numbers, but he isn't replacing Mahomes.

I’d say that he’s giving Daniel credit. It’s not like the alternatives being offered up are bad choices or indicating that the Bears assets will be worthless. Any backup qb that is suddenly the starting qb on very short notice for one of the most watched nationally televised games with the team on a short week as it is...and news of you getting the start is only concrete a day before game time...I’d say any advice other than “run away” is a credit to that backup.
