Fantasy Pros vs Dynasty Trade Calculator

I'm a new dynasty player. Which player evaluation tool is preferred, and why? Fantasy Pros trade value chart, or the Dynasty Trade Calculator? Seems to me that DTC really gives a lot of value to the star players, while Fantasy Pros values the WR2 and WR3 types higher. Thanks for your thoughts.

If I'm going to use one I suppose fantasy pros however you will get a feel for the value of your players and others in your league quickly. I always usually strongly disagree with how they rank a lot of the guys on either site and values change constantly from week to week so they can get outdated quick as well. It is nice when you begin to take a glance at it though to make sure your not getting suckered.

Neither, calculators are all crap. Add up enough trash and it equals a stud apparently...

Use the Dynasty Advice forum and MFL ADP data for trades instead of calculators. It's better to get other users perspectives to help develop and add to your own values.

I personally like trade calculators and find them helpful as another tool to consider value.

In my experience, the Fantasypros calculator is fine for redraft, but once you ask it to consider dynasty values it becomes off as I don't believe there are that many "experts" who've provided values for the players. So it's not providing you dynasty ECR, just values from a few guys. I don't use DTC but instead the fftools dynasty calculator. All values are for PPR leagues so adjust those rankings accordingly if your league plays with different scoring. Also if you keep the player amounts on each side of a trade close to the same, maybe at most 3 for 1 plus a pick, I think the calculator does a good job.
