The Chiefs/Rams game was an amazing and awesome game.

They said that this was the highest scoring Monday Night Football game ever; and that there have been 773 Monday Night Football games.

Lesson: it's a mess and I think Collins is only good for goal line TD. Dont think Edwards is anything too special. Lamar Jackson is the RB to own in Baltimore
Edwards has looked by far like the more dynamic runner today over Collins.
In what way? Edwards looked like a poor man's CJA, or maybe Orleans Darkwa... Collins isn't particularly special AT ALL, but he looked electric on his TD.

Brandin Cooks over 100 AGAIN. Remember all those "100 targets if he's lucky" people? "1000 yards is highly unlikely"? Unless he gets hurt the rest of the year, WRONG! Sorry, I had to have some fun with this one, forgive me.

I forgive you as I'm in the same Cooks camp. Dude is awesome. Nearly had an insane night if he hangs on to that TD... or you know if Goff stops throwing it in the dirt when hes wide open

I miss when there was quality defense in the league. Shootouts are fun for fantasy, but I do not "love" them in real life.

Missed this barn burner unfortunately :wall:

Absolutely boggles my mind that the Rams drop 54 points and Gurley only has 94 yards and ZERO TD's

There were a few quality defenses last year. Enough to the point where I thought that the NFL would turn more to dink-and-dunk passing and running. Jacksonville and Minnesota almost got to the Super Bowl because of their defenses. Eagles had a great offense, but their defense was also really good. Most of the competitive playoff teams last year had really good defenses.

Teams like LAR, KC, NO are just so good on offense that the defense almost doesn't matter.

Most returners I'd agree, but Hill has taken several of those questionable returns for TDs.

I was completely on the <100 targets <1000 yards for Cooks this year. Get some right, get some wrong.

I will never question Hill returning a kick. Unless he's surrounded by five guys on the 1-yard line, I think he should be taking it back.

I hope I never see a 6-3 Seahawks/Rams game again in my life. Watching Jacksonville run the ball 90 times for 45 minutes is also miserable.

What an awesome throw by Goff on that GW TD, fwiw.

I really don't feel that it is the quality of the defensive players that have deteriorated as much as it is all of the rule changes implemented against defense. I feel that a lot of the rule changes were implemented to allow for higher scoring games.

Very recently, Mean Joe Green came out and said that he doesn't feel that he or most of the defensive players from his era would be able to play in today's NFL with all of the rule changes.

There were 3 defensive TDs and 7 total takeaways.
And 1001 total yards and four punts.

You know what Phaded was talking about. It was an NBA game. I too appreciate great defense, but the days of defensive battles are getting rare. Low scoring games today are usually more due to inept offenses than to excellent defenses.

C'est la vie.
