Re: Are you freaking kidding me?
Started the season all play 16-2. Real record 0-2. Think that comes out to like a .01% chance of that happening. Luckily it turned around after that.

A guy in my main league is the second highest scoring but it 2-8, you think at some point it would even out but it hasn't. The guy coming second is the second lowest scoring but the lowest against.

Every opponent you face is having their homecoming game against you. It happened to me in a yearly league back in 2014. It certainly sucks.

Head to head matchups are the only way I would want a league to be determined. I think the randomness is fun.

Re: Are you freaking kidding me?
I had a season, 2009 I think, where I was 6-6 through the first 12 weeks in my 16 team league. I had the most points by a long shot. And my all play record was 169-11 I believe. Going into the final week of our fantasy regular season if I lost that week 13 game I would have missed the playoffs. Luckily I won...then went on to win the championship.

Re: Are you freaking kidding me?
I feel for you I thought my team in sig was going to be great before the season but its even better than I thought. Brews, Barkley, D. Adama, Evans, Cooks, can bring Boyd, Davis, Chubb, and Cook who I recently acquired to rotate for the last starter spot. Stacked... 4-5-1 and play the top 3 teams to finish out the last 3 weeks and are in danger of missing the playoffs. I've missed on who to start between Chubb and Boyd every single week (started Boyd last week ). There is also a pretty crazy scoring system in this league that ive clearly yet to master. None the less frustrating.

I don't play pull tabs, I don't go to casinos, I'm not addicted to, nor do I enjoy wasting money on gambling. The randomness and luck can work just fine for redraft leagues. Head to head matchups are fun but... there is a better statistical way to do this.Ray Finkle wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 3:28 am Head to head matchups are the only way I would want a league to be determined. Believe it or not there is skill that goes into long term success in dynasty formats. For me, take the luck out of it. Take Kickers out, Take team defenses out, play a double header schedule and use victory points to determine final standings. There is MORE than enough randomness in the game itself, why carry more variables and cherish them? I don't get it.

I'm a big proponent of victory points for the same reason.JFever wrote: ↑Wed Nov 14, 2018 11:00 amI don't play pull tabs, I don't go to casinos, I'm not addicted to, nor do I enjoy wasting money on gambling. Re: Are you freaking kidding me?
Victory points are great and/or also like putting up more money to be able to pay out top 3 scores each week. It really discourages tanking too, and it gives teams that are out of the playoffs a chance to win some money back. I do find this is a little better suited for redrafts, but have done it in dynasty also. Fantasy is a poor odds future bet in all reality, but it mixes in more skill than a random "bet". It still is horse crap payout odds, no matter how you shake it. Gotta find the entertainment value in it to be worthwhile, and I think most do.

One of the most fun things about Fantasy are rivalries between teams. How can you actually build rivalries unless you have head to head?
