The Top 12 At Each Position - Wide Receivers - Updated

Postby ArrylT » Mon Nov 12, 2018 2:59 pm

I am aware MNF has yet to play and there are still 2 bye weeks to deal with but with pretty much 10 weeks under wraps ...

just curious to see who thinks which player(s) will fall out of the top 12 aka QB1 / RB1 / WR1 / TE1
So peruse the lists and see who you'd remove and list who you would add.
Players in BOLD have not had a bye

Players yet to play

Giants

Saquon Barkley - Already a RB1
Odell Beckham - Already a WR1
Sterling Shepard - Would need 45 poitns today to reach WR1
Evan Engram - Would need 36 points today to reach TE1
Eli Manning - Would need 63 points today to reach QB1

49ers

George Kittle - Already a TE1
Matt Breida - Would need 42 points today to reach RB1
No WR or QB anywhere near WR1 / QB 1 range

Using standard PPR Scoring

WRs 1-12

Thielen - 216
M. Thomas - 215
T. Hill - 206
Adams - 194
Hopkins - 194
A Brown - 186
Julio Jones - 184
Woods - 167
Cooks - 164

Sanders - 161
Beckham - 159
Evans - 157

Top 7 are heavy hitters. Nothing surprising in those names

Thielen
M. Thomas
T. Hill
Adams
Hopkins
A Brown
Julio Jones
Beckham (he belongs in this group, I'm sure he scores 10+ tonight)

Points wise, these 2 would be borderline with the rest. With Kupp's injury, I think that just means a few more PPG for each of these 2
Cooks
Woods

These 2 are both out...
Sanders - I like him but I think there are WR in better situations
Evans - This QB carousel is going to bite him in the end

JuJu - He has to be 13th already. Dude's a stud. Ben is looking good lately. They roll to a division berth and have 2 WR in top 12

Diggs - if healthy he will help the Vikings also have 2 top 12 WR... Averaged more PPG than Evans in games he has played

Honorable mentions...
Boyd - he might need AJG to be his wingman... hes a top 15 guy for me, dont think he makes top 12
Kennan - not his year, in my opinion. Don't think he's a top 12 dynasty WR either.
Jarvis - Baker likes spreading the ball around. Not good for a former target hog / PPR monster

I think Sanders is definitely an interesting case - especially with Thomas gone now. Obviously we all expect Sutton to gain targets but Sanders has been Keenums favorite target all season and the demise of Kelly means Keenum doesnt have a serious threat for his job any more - so I think Sanders situation for 2019 at least is perhaps more favorable than we think. And if Keenum remains lead QB in 2020 - a big if of course - that could lead to a late career resurgence - ala Fitzgerald?

Funny, I was going to say that Evans has two major duds in his last two that he has to bounce back from. Volume has been there too. I don't think he will drop out of the top 12.

Why not just wait 12 hours until after the MNF game has been played to update?

Or we could just look at it and see that there's probably a good chance Lockett isn't going to score 30 plus and realize this is the top 12

Unfortunately my work schedule on Tuesdays means the only large block of 'free' time I have I need to use to for my leagues waivers. I'll only update once more after the NFL season has completely finished.

I was surprised to see Brown only 20 pts from the #1 spot this year. He has been solid and has had his couple big games, but not many MONSTER games and his low games are lower than normal. It just shows the expectations he has brought to us somewhat spoiled us. He had a "down' week for his standards this week, so hopefully he comes through in the clutch the next couple.

Very TD-heavy, just like Adams. As a relatively new Brown owner, I'll definitely take the production, although his standard is obviously so high that I have been a tiny bit disappointed not to get more yardage to go along with those TDs.
