I hadn't really had much of a chance to watch Jacobs until now. He looks really good. My rankings are really fluid right now, but I'm betting he'll be my #1. He'd be my best bet for a stud in this class (so far).

I'm not a scout, nor do I get paid to draw out elaborate, well thought out rankings. That said, anyone discounting Jacobs due to production may want to watch more of his work on the field. He was behind D. Harris, but just barely, and they gave the other Harris touches because he's pretty good too and they didn't want to lose him to transfer. Jacobs looked good running and catching passes out of the backfield. We will see how the NFL perceives him, but I think it will favorable.

Narrowed it down to a top 3 for each
Qb (only 2, havent decided)
Haskins
Lock

WR
Kelvin Harmon
Hakeem Butler
Nkeal Harry

Special mention: Deebo Samuel, A.J Brown

RB
David Montgomery
Rodney Anderson (*injury risk*)
Josh Jacobs

Special Mention: Elijah Holyfield

TE
T.J Hockenson
Noah Fant
Irv Smith jr.

As you can tell, im not as big a believer of Snell or Damien as some of you. Also not big on D.K or brown for wrs. Think we might get some surprising names out of this TE class. The more i watch, the more i like. These arent listed in any specific order, but i do perfer Hockenson to fant at the moment

I also wonder if Alabama assumed Jacobs would be returning.

I think I have already mentioned this, but if I haven't, I am starting to feel more confident in this class (not that I was totally unconfident just unsure) the more we delve into it. :)

I think the #1 pick this year is going to be really valuable and there will be a big drop off from #1 to #2.

Josh Jacobs will be a top 20 pick and the next RB won’t be taken until much later (late 2nd/3rd). Plus I think this WR class was being overhyped and I don’t think it’s that different at the top than last year: a bunch of solid late 1/early 2 WRs but no elite top 10 options.

If I had a pick from #2 to #5 I would be trying to trade up to #1 right now before people catch on.
Team 1 - 12 team PPR
QB: MRyan, MJones, CNewton, RFitz
RB: SBarkley, DSwift, CAkers, JMixon, AJDillon, LMurray, DarWilliams, GBernard
WR: SDiggs, ACooper, BAiyuk, JJones, LShenault, BCooks, KToney, KHamler, VJefferson
TE: JSmith, ISmith, ZErtz

Team 2 - 16 team, PPR, SF
QB: JBurrow, CWentz, ZWilson, Jimmy G
RB: SBarkley, DSwift, CAkers, BSnell, TGurley, DGuice
WR: JChase, BAiyuk, CSutton, THiggins, JJeudy, JReagor, BEdwards
TE: ISmith, HarBryant, DSample, TTremble

I think the WR class is very different to last year, simply in the type of prospect available. Other than Sutton, last year's WRs were smaller, shiftier guys who succeeded on burst, route running chops, game intelligence, versatility and effort. It may be that the league is shifting towards this kind of player because of the increased schematic flexibility they offer. It may also be that the league wants Alphas as much as ever, but they just weren't on offer last year. This year we have a number of traditional X guys who are big, long and offer the hope of being dominant at the catch point.
How good Harry, Harmon, Metcalf and Butler are we don't know. The upside on offer though is huge. I'm not sure whether I want to grab these guys yet and the combine will tell us much. Right now though the WRs are more exciting than last year's, even if potentially more boom-bust.

I'm with you on this take, I think it captures my current sentiment on these WR's well. I'm excited for these top 5-6 WR's, though... I traded back into the 1st round to make sure I got one of them, then moved up from 1.07 to 1.04 (SF league) to make sure I'd have my pick of the first few.

To think out loud for a second: if one or two of these guys lands with Luck, Rodgers, or even Garopollo... that will probably be the 1.03 or 1.04, depending on league format. Conversely, I've seen some of these top tier guys mocked to WR needy teams like BAL, BUF, OAK... I would be less excited if it's Lamar Jackson throwing to N'Keal Harry, for instance (though I would be thrilled for my Lamar share)

Kyler Murray says a decision on which sport he will pursue will be 'soon'.

I've watched a few games of Haskins/Lock/Jones, and I have to say, the QB class looks terrible. None of these guys have it, in my opinion.

Agree. I'll likely grab a Grier, Jackson or Stidham late to just stash and see.
