Re: Judge Ito Smith... future lead back?
It depends on what you consider "selling high". I'd move him for a first pretty easily, or a nice throw in for a better player. I don't think Coleman is back next season, but if he is, Ito is back to being worthless.
On the other hand if Coleman is gone, it appears Ito may be the 2nd back in a system that has had 2 RBs be fantasy relevant for a few years now. Plus Freeman will undoubtedly miss some time, vaulting him up for a few games.
At this point if you have him, you took him late or got him off waivers. If that can net you a first round pick you've got to be happy with that return no matter how Ito's career goes.

I'm super stoked to have picked him up this week, as Coleman has been uninspiring and Freeman is apparently made of Styrofoam. High-powered offense and has a nose for the end zone.

Right now, I think you're getting carried away. Anything's possible I suppose, but I don't think the Falcons are planning to make Ito Smith their bellcow. He'll get some decent COP work, but that's about all I see.
Re: Judge Ito Smith... future lead back?
I am pretty high on him.
He went undrafted in my SFlex and I spent 30% on him.
With that said I did this anticipating 2019 with 2018 production being unexpected/a bonus.
I do not see lead back but a serviceable flex COP.

Are you higher on Ito Smith or James Conner?

So what would he be worth? I happen to own Ito in a league or two (not as a handcuff, more of a prospect). I’m not really a believer in his long term value. If I was to move him, what would I be asking for in return?

I think I take Conner long term. I can see Pitt moving on from Bell much more likely than ATL moving on from Coleman AND Ito carving out a large part of the run game.
Just don’t really see Ito being more than a COP back at best. I think Conner has a better shot as a bell cow.
Re: Judge Ito Smith... future lead back?
If I needed production right now I would take Conner. I do not believe in his talent though and for long term I would take Ito.
However - value wise, Conner should be worth way more than Ito right now.
Conner = Ito + a good chunk.

You might get a late 2nd-early third. He could be a good COP back, and the Freeman injury helps with opportunity. But, so far his numbers aren't anything interesting.slaughterrt wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 5:05 pm So what would he be worth? A Conner is worth at least 3 Ito's. At least that's what i was taught in forex

Unless the Falcons move on from Freeman after resigning him to a lucrative contract extension, I can't imagine they will keep Coleman. Not sure how they afford it...slaughterrt wrote: ↑Wed Oct 17, 2018 5:07 pmI think I take Conner long term. If you put Ito Smith in quotes in the search field, you'll find some useful threads.

That's without mentioning the flyers, draft analysis threads and other random threads he's discussed.

I don't think there's any way you can put these two into the same stratosphere right now.

Re: Judge Ito Smith... future lead back?
Neither do I, but Phaded seems to think Conner is hot garbage. So I was shocked to see him be high on Ito. That's why i asked.
I also don't see Ito being better than Conner at all, in real life or fantasy. But to each their own.

Re: Judge Ito Smith... future lead back?
Last year Conner was worth less than Ito Smith is right now.
While the current production isn't close, it's not as if Conner is some untouchable juggernaut. If Bell comes back and they committee it, Ito Smith could outscore Conner down the stretch this season. Conner is great for this moment, but his near and long term futures are very much up in the air.
