I could be wrong but I think the injury merely uncovered an underlying condition. He was on my college FFL team.
Did not know that. I guess he should consider this a blessing, as he could have been paralyzed or worse. You are talking about Ahmon, correct? I should be clear, that it was DK who was getting "special teams reps" when ge got hurt.

- AJ Brown (OM) right now is probably the leader of the pack if he finishes out the year strongly.
- DK (OM), dependent on his injury and recovery, does he stay or does he enter?
- Collin Johnson (TEX) started the first couple of games slowly but has been playing solidly ever since
- Don't know enough about Harmon (NCST), seems he's doing okay
- N'Keal (ASU) started off hot but has cooled off some.

Arcega-Whiteside (STAN) has made a name for himself this year.

Deebo/Bryan Edwards (SC) haven't separated themselves from each other

Anthony Johnson from Buffalo doesn't appear to be having a good year after he exploded onto the scene in 2017.

From a production standpoint, they are all probably in the range of where Sutton was on a "down year" last year after 6 weeks. I'll agree that if a few of these guys are going to go in the early first in 2019...there probably wasn't much of a reason for Sutton to fall into the 2nd. I wonder if we'll see the pendulum shift back to WR next year since a lot of these RBs have either produced little or underproduced.

AJ, DK, N'Keal, Collin Johnson, Kelvin Harmon, Bryan Edwards are all playing well, and are all underclassmen. If they all declare, Sutton at 23 with no QB on the horizon vs these guys could go anywhere between 1.01 and 1.06, assuming they all declare. Tough to say right now.
Metcalf is out for the season with a neck injury. Bryan Edwards is playing alright. I still think Hollywood Brown is the best player in this class right now. But, I don't think he's a prototypical 1.01. To me, it's not a good sign that this class has no depth or a consensus top choice. Some of the WRs are talented, but I'm not sold on the upside.

So, I could easily see Sutton being in the mix if he stayed.
He is very good. Worried about his weight, though.
He can gain weight. Plus, we're seeing more and more of smaller receivers have success in the NFL. Brown does the things well that usually translate: Route running, separation, big play ability, explosion.

Just think of where Sutton might be if he stayed. His numbers dropped a little bit, but his big play ability, catch radius, and contested catch ability were intriguing at his size. He'd at least be in the 1.01 conversation if he continued around his past numbers.

From all that I'm reading about this years draft class, as of right now I think he's almost tied with the 1.01 given there doesn't seem to be a lock stud rb coming out. But I'm saying this as a person who thought he was a top 6 pick this year. The fact that he was going in the 2nd of most drafts is mind-blowing. The pre-draft and draft process could change things as we get more information.
I agree with you. There's no must-have stud RB, and there's no consensus top WR. And the depth is questionable overall. I think it's going to be a weird draft. Could be one of those years where the 1.01 really isn't that valuable. And Sutton figures to have a larger role next season when the Broncos can cut Thomas and save $14M

There's a lot of value in seeing a player on an NFL field though. His efficiency is bad but idk how much of that is on Keenum. To me he just looks the part and there's value in that imo.

I’d take Sutton. He’s already playing starters minutes and doing ok. Also dt for sure will be gone next year. He’s been a drop machine this year and last

My bad. Just looked up my guy who retired. It was Jeremy Larkin from Northwestern. Has cervical stenosis.

the question with AJ Brown is will he play in the nfl or is he going to focus on baseball?

I have multiple first rounder, wondering if I need to unload them for current assets

Good point. FWIW playerprofiler.com has a new stat called "True Catch Rate" that attempts to capture the catch rate for "catchable targets" only. In that category Sutton still basically just as bad.

Still though he is a rookie that was generally considered to be relatively raw coming out so I'm not too concerned about it.

The problem with Sutton is he's not a guy that's going to get much separation. He's going to have to fight for a lot of his catches, which means fewer YAC. Plus there's plenty of QB's who just won't throw often to a guy who has a DB draped all over him.

The upcoming draft feels like Treadwell, Coleman, Doctson all over again.

Bump...WR10 on the year so far and reasonably consistent week-to-week. Has to be considered at least a top 20 dynasty WR, right? Top 15 too aggressive?

I think top 15 is right, I would say he's at or near the top of the WR2 tier with the chance to climb higher.

Nuk
OBJ
MT
Adams
Hill
Keenan
Evans
Julio
Juju
Kupp
Amari
Godwin
Golladay
Sutton
Lockett

Would probably be my top 15.

Love it!! I scooped him up late 1st/early 2nd everywhere I could in his rookie year and I haven't looked back. People just trashed him because he didn't have a great junior year because his QB was trash...I didn't need to see anymore of him after his sophomore year personally, but I was happy he went back and matured...

And he was a great buy in redraft this year and I got him there as well...people forget just how terrible Keenum is.

What does the Manny Sanders trade do for Sutton the rest of the year - make his situation better or worse? I could see his targets increasing, but is he going to get more coverage rolled his way now and take away some of his deep stuff? Thoughts?
