TD Regression concerns + all the TEs being 'healthy' again in the off-season will be a part of that as well. Which if you are an Ebron owner should be fine, since you're likely holding - and if you're looking to buy Ebron should be fine as well since his market price may not rise much, if at all. But we shall see!
I don't have a ton of argument against anything you just said...still though, he's on fire in a very good offense right now. As an Ebron owner who is out of the playoffs and who has some TE depth...what price am I selling and what price am I holding at right now?
I lost Howard, no TE help on waivers. So I paid Boyd and 2019 3.14 for him. The owner gave me a choice of Ebron or Burton. I read a lot on both. I chose Ebron as one article pointed out how he received extra defense attention the week he got blanked. Traded and started him this week :-)

Lol, name one top 12 TE that hasn't had one of these types of games this year.
Since this thread was bookmarked by JGurn244 waiting for Ebron's patented crappy games, Ebron has been 4th in the league in TE scoring.

In fact, Ebron has been;

2018 - 3rd in TE scoring
Past 2 years, 4th in TE scoring (Kelce, Ertz, Gronk ahead)
Past 3 years, 5th in TE scoring (Kelce, Ertz, Gronk & Rudolph ahead)
Past 4 years, 8th in TE scoring (Kelce, Ertz, Gronk, Rudolph, D Walker, J Reed & Graham ahead)

Classic case of perception vs reality combined with a dash of group think. I wish I owned him in more leagues. The TE position is just so beat up this year.
Truth is found through Evidence.

Science is the poetry of reality.

This pace had held true through 9 games so it's not one of those stats from 2 games projected through 16 type of things. He is also only 25 years old. He is also on a team whose offense revolves around the TE with one of the best QB's in the game, who also historically loves him some TE's. If his name was any name other than Eric Ebron, this young TE would be considered a top 3 dynasty tight end moving forward without much debate lol.
Update?

I'm actually just bumping because I need a good week from him in redraft and whoever comes in chest-thumping after a great/bad week seems to get burned the following week
It worked!

Ebron averaged 10 targets per game during the five game stretch Doyle was out. Proper context requires acknowledging that TY missed a few of those games too...but it's looking like Ebron is going to be straight cash money for playoff teams in fantasy.

I'll be starting him over Landry through the playoffs.

I recently traded Ebron in a standard PPR league for Josh Reynolds and a 2nd. Not competing so fine with losing Ebron although if he is Luck's primary TE the next 2-3 seasons I probably missed out. I also have Henry, Reed and Andrews on that roster.

Well to no ones surprise the Colts have signed a new TE - Clive Walford formerly of the Jets & Raiders.

I bought O.J. Howard last night and I already roster David Njoku...so I'm likely settling for a similar type of Ebron deal today before the deadline...will let you all know what I end up doing.

I gave up Ebron for Ito Smith & Nyheim Hines. Not proud of it.

I'm revoking your Eric Ebron fan club membership card - which includes a free beer at each 10 TDs. :P
