We have a “share your I’m stupid” thread. How bout one that you post your smart/lucky moves. Say you had a guy you have been waiting on for years. Or a guy that you drafted “way too early” according to the consensus.

Gotta say my biggest one this year is Eric Ebron. I have always been a fan and grabbed him early on with the Lions. He was too sporadic there, but it seems like he is really beasting with Andrew Luck. He has easily been my best TE this year and is pretty much a plug and play every week. I don’t think I ever touted him as the next big thing in the forums or anything, but he has been a staple on most of my benches for a few years and is finally putting it together consistently.

For Team 1 in Sig, I've been able to acquire: Hill, Kittle, Thompson, Enunwa, and Cole off of waivers. Also drafted Allison in the 5th round of 2018 rookie draft.

Drafted Jimmy Garoppolo in the 2nd round. DOH!
To make up for it however, I drafted Mahomes in the 5th.

Team 2 in sig, startup draft last year

Took Gurley in the 2nd after his down 2016 season

Took WRs at value when everyone else was focused on rbs, especially early 1st round rookies

Got Kamara in the 11th (admittedly this was lucky. I simply wanted one if Hunt, Perine, Foreman, or Kamara for the upside. Once two were gone, I grabbed Kamara)

Team is now set up so strong I'm worried it'll kill the league as it's also young haha

Drafted Mahomes last year and Baker this year.

Traded away Martavis a while back right before he got suspended.

Taking AB with my last pick in a 2011 start up draft.

Drafting AB in a startup his second or third year in about the 8th round was a good one. Last year, Week 1 or 2 I traded Adrian Peterson and Golden Tate for Thielen and a 2018 1st. The 1st ended up being 1.01, so AD + Tate turning into Thielen + Barkley ended up working out. I also feel good thus far for selling high on Drake (received a 2019 1st plus pick I took a chance on Lindsey with), team is 0-4 that I traded him to and he was a backup, backup, backup RB on my team regardless.

Last off season I grap Woods in all leagues (for like 3rd round value in most). This I targeted Boyd and had him 60% of my leagues... but I need to as I have drafted Treadwell and Zay Jones too in many leagues ...

I've always had a knack for hitting on those P Barber, Knshown Moreno, Mike Davis, Jackie Battle, Buck Allen, Forsett, Zac Stacy types on the waiver...I love picking them and selling high for 2nds, in the case of Ben Tate and Battle I actually flipped them for 1sts to desperate teams. L Murray is another on I read a little about him being a freak and picked him up a few games before he broke out and I flipped him the following year in a deal for Rodgers. This year my candidates are

I think I've shared this before on similar threads but I am always glad to remind myself

I once almost traded Allen Robinson for Cody Latimer - so I was lucky there.

In a SF type league (ie a league where starting QBs are highly valued) before Mariota got drafted, I traded Mettenberger and a 2nd for Davante Adams & Tyler Eifert . I then turned Eifert into Devante Parker, and then packaged Parker and Moncrief for Mike Evans.

Also I am with slaughterrt on Ebron and have for the most part kept most of my shares and am "finally' benefiting from that patience.

Oh and I got lucky making sure I drafted JuJu Smith-Schuster everywhere I could in rookie drafts.

Traded for Rueben Randle and Ronnie Hillman (once he gained the starting job in Denver), for Keenan Allen in 2015 post Keenan’s season ending injury.

Drafted Mahomes in the 3rd last year when johnathan Williams was still available and convential wisdom would have suggested taking the RB. My Chiefs homerism definitely played into this one though.
