Matchups this week that have strong appeal:

Jacksonville Jaguars at Kansas City Chiefs

Apart from the Redskins, who already had their bye, the Jaguars lead the league in least Points Against. Meanwhile the Chiefs currently lead the league in Points Scored. The typical immovable object vs. irresistible force dilemma of Best D vs. Best O.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

Both teams are averaging about 25+ ppg while not winning. So there is the expectation of a high-scoring matchup - just like there was the expectation of a defensive struggle last week between Vikings & Rams. What if it is a trap? IE what we think is going to be a fantasy feast ends up being a fantasy sinkhole.

Minnesota Vikings vs. Philadelphia Eagles

Neither team is likely at the record they want - the question is which team is going to make a statement? Their home record since 2016 suggests the odds favor the Eagles (15-3) plus they could be said to be in the Vikings head from last years playoffs ...

LA Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks

Ive said before the Seahawks D is better than people think, and despite playing 3 games on the road, their D is holding (their 2 losses were for a combined 10 points) pretty well - but now the Rams come to town having dismantled the Vikings (many of whom would argue have a much better D than Seattle).

-----

Fantasy players

Will Dalvin Cook ever recapture that 4 game stretch from last year?
Will Big Ben get on the same page as his WRs? Can the Steelers get Connor going again?
Which QB will have the bigger game - Bortles or Mahomes.

Speaking of Bortles - did he somehow tap into Road Ben / Home Ben? Take a look at his stats at home vs. on the road.

Either way Bortles is going to have to keep pace with Mahomes this week - since Fournette cannot be fed.

Assuming he gets 200 yards he'll pass both Manning and Favre at the same time - pretty surreal! 8-)

I am in the same boat on the other side. I am questioning whether to start Mahomes or Alex Smith. I am a pretty good underdog so i am swinging for the fences and starting Mahomes. That means this week will be Alex Smith's yearly 50 point game.......LOL

I'm tempted, especially with Gronk dinged up and the Colts being a bad defense AND missing almost half their starting secondary. I think you could do worse but the risk is too great for me if you have other good options.

unfortunately I don't have better options due to players being on bye. It's so bad that I'm even starting Ryan grant this week!
