How in the world is Darnold taken before Mayfield? Does your league give bonus points for passes under 10 yards?
FWIW Baker was 4th QB taken in my league

Darnold was taken first in my league too. I took Mayfield I'm the 3rd round but debated taking Lamar Jackson over him. Going into the rookie draft, it wasn't unreasonable to think Darnold was the safer pick, even if Baker had higher upside.

After watching Mayfield in a game, his arm talent and accuracy are evident. Let's see if he can keep it up after teams get game film on him.

As a Baker Mayfield owner, I'm excited.

I have no idea. It was a slow draft so its not like he panicked and took Darnold. Team that took him was terrible last year and blew this rookie draft too.

Traded for him last week; my QBs were Mariota and Jameis. Traded Jameis and a 2nd for Baker with the owner wanting the 2nd because he was "extremely high on Baker's future."

Also Callaway; if you can get him, get him. 10 targets last night, should have had at least one TD

So Jackson needs to "watch the tape" before making a decision..
Really hope this is just coach speak.

Sounds like coach speak to me so that he doesn't force himself into a position and risk having to back track before he can verify it with Todd Haley and Dorsey

Maybe one of them has very strong opinions about having Baker sit as long as possible for development. It's clear Hue isn't the big man making decisions, more just goes with what he hears most from the others

Also, I went to bed at halftime very thankful I sat Landry for Juju this week as he only had 3.3 points. I wake up and he's got 21 lol

Have you guys seen Space Jam? Not many people know that the Monstars shared the "power stealing powers" with just a few mortal men before their colossal defeat. One such man: James Mayfield, father of future 10x NFL MVP Baker Mayfield.

James, ever the selfless guy, didn't use the powers for himself, but instead waited until his son came of age. (Don't tell me you didn't think it was suspicious that a former walk-on became the #1 Overall Pick). Of course, Baker couldn't sap current NFL powers and instead traveled through history absorbing powers from the likes of Vince Young, Donovan McNabb, and Peyton Manning (who managed to retain enough of his powers to win a Superbowl in Denver, of course).

The era of Tom and Bill has ended. Long be the reign of Baker and Hue.

Anyway, wow, 635 days is a long time.

Don't get me wrong, I'd rather see Baker play 100/100 but if only Cleveland's kicking game were better they would be 2-0 and there's no way they are benching Tyrod.

Fact of the matter is tho, he was brought in to win games for Hue Jackson to keep his job....now that Baker accomplished that goal and Tyrod's play before it....you just can't go back. Yes, the Jets aren't the same as PIT or NO but still.

He's not going to announce to the media that Baker is the started going forward before he has yet to speak to Tyrod. The media and the fans don't need an answer at any point before week 4, let alone right after the game last night. It's a respect thing and about managing personalities/emotions. I think people forget that sometimes.

Offering Buck Allen for Mayfield is a terrible offer, your essentially wanting a potential young stud QB for garbage, why bother insulting the Mayfield owner.

Buck Allen for Josh Allen probably still wouldn't get it done, but you'll have a better chance.
