Let's talk... Quincy Enunwa

Postby Shcritters » Thu Sep 20, 2018 6:23 pm

So this guy has long been a favorite of mine, and watching the game tonight it is pretty clear (if it wasn't already from the first two weeks) that this guy is Darnold's safety blanket.

What do we think about this guy? Solid WR2? Better? Worse?

I can see mid WR2 from Enunwa. Darnold definitely loves the guy. Don’t know about his contract right off hand, but it could be a pretty good few years.

Didn't realize it... he's on a 1-year deal. Don't want to get too excited too early, but he could make himself some serious $'s if he keeps this up.

I traded Washington straight up for him

He was in rebuild and I’m contending with deep starting req. I think he can produce mid-late WR2 this year just depends how much Darnold improves

90 catches looking like a favorite. Youth, production, size + athleticism

I've got him in quite a few leagues and really like the guy. I figure he'll be another Doug Baldwin kind of guy in the fantasy community, someone who produces regularly but won't have the value/cache of the "name" top WR's

Many thought I overpaid with 33% of FAAB after week 1 but I'm thinking it was a good move. He seems to have a great combo of being a possession receiver with power and moves after the catch.

Big Fan!

I own him in most of dynasty leagues and all of my redraft leagues. He should be getting Landry type targets IMO going forward. He plays really hard.

Since we are talking Enunwa, how do you guys compare Enunwa to OJ Howard?

ARG I really like the guy. I owned him in all my leagues last year, but cut him as I had to make room over the off-season and totally forgot to pick him back up. I think mid wr2 is where he will end up.

I also cut him over the summer. I got outbid in FAAB. :( Oh well

He's definitely startable pretty much every week. Not a league winner, but he'll be running plenty of easy screens like last night all year on that O.

Enunwa and Robby Anderson couldn't be more different as players. They play completely different positions within an offense. Enunwa is more of a threat to Herndon than Robby Anderson.

The Jets need Enunwa for the slot, Robby Anderson as their deep threat and still another top outside WR before they start putting up better offensive stats.

Gotta love looking back and seeing the smoking hot takes on this guy after only a few weeks, then absolutely nothing since he fell off, then a resurgence because he got resigned. We all do this as a community (including and sometimes especially myself #MVS) but recency bias is just the worst lol
