Keelan Cole
Keelan Cole
So.. with fournette out the passing game excelled against the pats..
Cole puts up 7/116/1
The kid can ball.. hes made a few impressive catches this year and last year.
2 questions
1.Can Bortles create a WR1 in the jags run heavy offense?
2. Is Cole talented enough to be that guy..
The last 7 games
33 rec 645 yards 4 TDs
19.54/ypr
7 games is kinda small but he looks good and starts can mislead but I dont think it does this time..if this has been talked about I apologize but I wanna no if I own a undrafted stud that has WR1 in his ceiling in the future.. what does the tape say fellas?

Re: Keelan Cole
Im a Patriots fan and i watched the whole game on Sunday and he absolutely made a believer out of me. I own him in a few leagues and i spent some time this offseason trying to trade him to capitalize on his "hype". Now im very glad i was only successful once.
This was ridiculous:
The Patriots D didnt do a a lot to slow him down (no pass rush, wide open receivers repeatedly especially on third downs), but Blake Bortles absolutely balled on Sunday. The guy made accurate throw after accurate throw. I remember thinking at one point during the game that this is what other teams fans must feel like when Brady is "on". Im not annointing Bortles the next Brady, but i think he is plenty talented enough to support a WR1.

Re: Keelan Cole
I think it’s time to forget about the fact that he was undrafted. Go trade for him before it’s to late. He’s legit.

Glad I grabbed him as a depth piece in a deep starting lineups league. 4 rbs 5wrs, hes huge

Re: Keelan Cole
Definitely legit, WR1 is a little too hopeful for me, just with the depth of WR and the consistency of other qbs/offenses. They still will overall want to be a defensive and running team, at least when Fournette is healthy. They do seem to have New England's number of sorts.

Re: Keelan Cole
I think it's safe to say he's probably a season-long WR2 with week-to-week WR1 upside depending on the match-up. If the game is close or they're behind, he's the man. If they're up by 10+ points and Fournette is healthy, the game is scripted away from him. The Fantasy Footballers podcast anointed him a "must-start" but I'm not sure I agree with that take. He's a stud, but in his situation opportunity will be limited from time to time.

Re: Keelan Cole
So sad that guys like this sprout up pretty regularly (Thielen, Cole, etc.) all the meanwhile, all the 1st RD receivers are bums lol.

Re: Keelan Cole
I wouldn't call him a WR1, but I definitely like what I'm seeing from him and wouldn't mind having him as my WR3/flex.

Re: Keelan Cole
I think Cole is a very good receiver. I also think Dede Westbrook is a very good receiver. I also don't have confidence in any of them producing consistently with so many "good enough" receivers and Blake Bortles.
All that said, Cole can do it. It's not like any of his competition is special. I just think it'll be hard to see consistent week-to-week production.

Re: Keelan Cole
Jags showing a Steelers like knack to draft WRs, but a distinctly non Steelers like ability to draft DBs. This could be a hell of a team if Bortles can play like he did this weekend more consistently. I love Cole and have bought him everywhere I could. As the poster above mentions though, Westbrook is not chopped liver either. The price gap between them right now likely makes Westbrook an interesting buy low.
Re: Keelan Cole
I asked about him last year and nobody even knew who he was. I didnt hold on to him long enough and as soon as he started balling out at the end of the year i regretted dropping him. He looks like a very competent # 2 borderline # 1

Re: Keelan Cole
All these guys are decent: Cole, Moncrief, Westbrook - maybe even Chark eventually. And don't forget Lee before the injury. With Fournette out, and that Pats pass D inept yet again, not too surprising the Pats made all three of these average guys look really good. Bortles played the game of his life on top of it.
Really hard to trust these WRs going forward, especially when LF is back, and Lee back next year. This year, a different wideout could pop - or not, when they go back to run-heavy - every single week. The Jags' WRs right now are like the Pats' RBs: spin that wheel...
I'm not sold on this passing game yet, but that pasting they gave the Pats got my attention on it for the first time in forever.
