Is it Josh Rosen's time in AZ yet?

Postby smoger45 » Mon Sep 17, 2018 8:16 am

Sam Bradford has looked lost out on the field maybe he has a permanent concussion. Anybody expect Rosen to start soon or will AZ stick it out as long as they can?

I expect either week 4 or week 10. No need to throw Rosen in against Mack and the Bears. Week 4 is a manageable game against the Seahawks secondary, week 10 is immediately following the bye.

He should have been the starter day 1.

Week 2/3 against Rams and Bears... Absolutely brutal start to a pro career.

If I'm the Cardinals, I'm hesitant to start Rosen as he may get destroyed. This Cardinals teams is abysmal on both sides of the ball. Maybe he's shown the mental & physical toughness to do OK in a rough situation though.
Not all that counts can be counted. Not all that can be counted counts.

Where are the slew of Vikings fans to tell us how good Bradford is? Another failed stop. Yes it's Rosen time. That team looks dead.

I'm single-handedly driving up the comments count here...

I agree with you 100%. If you're playing for a top 6 pick anyway, why leave your rookie QB out there to get destroyed?

Don't think it's Rosen time until the Browns start winning; no need to risk losing the #1 pick overall for 2019.

Just like Keenum, AD, etc. he sucked the second he took off the gorgeous purple jersey. I thought you knew! Jokes aside, I was never a fan of the Bradford desperation trade in MN at the time, well documented. Locals were calling me crazy that I did not think he was the second coming at the time, but he was never this bad, even in the Fisher days. I know AZ is a dump offensively, but he seems like he is clueless out there.

As a Giants fan, we're coming for that no. 1 pick baby. The Browns look like a much more competent team than we do. They nearly beat the Steelers, and save for a useless kicker they would have beatin the Saints in the Superdome. Meanwhile we(NYGs) are getting embarassed weekly.

Back to the task though, it's Rosen time. They literally can't run Bradford back out there, it doesn't matter it's the Bears, he's been simply atrociously awful. I think you'll hear the announcement end of day today.

As a DJ and Fitz owner, I fully support anything that could get that team going.
Team 1: Dynasty/Contract Team: 12 Team, PPR, QB,1 RB, 2WR, 2 Flex WR/RB, TE (Premium TE scoring: 1.25X receiving yards points)
QB – J. Hurts, A Richardson (R-IR))
RB – Javonte Williams, K. Walker III,J. Hill, J. Ford, K. Miller (R), J.K. Dobbins (IR), K. Hebert (IR)
WR – J. Chase, C. Lamb, K. Allen, T. Burks, DJ Chark, P. Nakua (R)
TE – D. Waller, C. Okonkwo, L. Thomas, J. Ferguson

Team 2: Dynasty Team: 12 Team, 0.5 PPR, QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 2 Flex WR/RB/TE (Premium TE scoring: 1.5X receiving yards points)
QB - A. Rodgers, L. Jackson
RB - B. Hall, S. Barkley, A. Kamara, E. Mitchell, J. Mason, Z. White, K. Miller (R), T. Spears (R)
WR - T. Hill, D. Adams, C. Watson, M. Brown, R. Rice (R)
TE - D. Waller, G. Kittle, J. Ferguson

You a Giants fan who regrets drafting Barkley and think they should have gone Qb instead? You all seem very split on this.

Nope.
Just my opinion the only Franchise QB drafted in this draft was Baker Mayfield. I think Rosen/Darnold/Jackson/Allen will provide some decent value, but none of them will be a long term winner. I think the Giants looked at what the Rams did (draft Gurley and offensive pieces) so when the QB arrives he already has help. I think they'll go QB with a very high draft pick next season and make some strides. Of that group I think Rosen has the best chance at staying power, but I still liked the decision to go Barkley there. You don't draft someone at 1.02 unless you can say without a doubt, "this guy will be the guy", and the only QB I saw I could say that for was Baker Mayfield. Everyone else had questions.

This is a two headed problem. Bradford is washed (for years) and mike McCoy was an uninspiring hire. Ditch them both immediately and get moving in a different direction.
