Per Mary Kay Cabot:
"Team doctors examined Gordon on Saturday, and in addition to a hamstring issue, there was concern that perhaps he was struggling with his substance use again, or possibly close to it."https://www.cleveland.com/browns/index. ... don_4.html

Seahawks, Chiefs, Ravens, Bills, Jaguars, and Raiders also possibilities.
But something tells me New England. This is just too Belichickian to not be possible.

I wonder if the Browns announcing that they are releasing him Monday are giving other teams a chance to take a cheap shot at trading for him (hoping he doesn’t piss dirty).

Re: Josh Gordon to be released
Ugh, here we go again. A tiny silver lining for Gordon owners:
"Teams already calling the Browns, who league sources believe are far more likely to trade Josh Gordon than release him.
Gordon is a vested vet and is not subject to waivers. So if he is cut, he is a free agent and can sign where he wants, for what he wants.
A lot at stake."https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status ... 0972762114
"Josh Gordon hurt his hamstring at a promotional shoot, not at practice, per source."https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status ... 2149145601

Agreed. If he pisses dirty or a diluted sample, then this list is moot. He'll be in the CFL.slaughterrt wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 5:33 pmPermanently banned once the official drug test results come in.SCYCPA wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 5:28 pmCowboys most likelyShcritters wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 5:12 pm He has the talent and someone will take a chance on him. Re: Josh Gordon to be released
I guess I rolled the dice and came up short on this one.
My guess is that he slipped up and may get dumped from the league with a failed test. Cutting him gives the Browns a chance to immediately court Dez with the promise of not having to compete with Gordon for that role.
There is also the chance the Browns want Dez and with a Gordon injury they are just cutting bait with him since his contract is up after this season anyway.
Only time will tell. But I’m giving Gordon less than a 20% chance to play again in the NFL. And that’s saying something. Because I was a believer that he could turn his life around.

Re: Josh Gordon to be released
Everyone is jumping to conclusions on Gordon. Guy is clean, but the Browns are just sick of him being unavailable. Also culture is changing for Cleveland and I think cutting/trading Gordon is apart of that. I think there’s a serious reality he’s just injured and may go on to play for a different team
I may or may not be related to Bryan Edwards

Please, shut up. Unless you work for the Browns or you're in the league office, you have no reason to tell us that a habitual addict is clean when he's just been fired.alewilliam789 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 15, 2018 5:48 pm Everyone is jumping to conclusions on Gordon.
