Career day for Boyd...now on pace for 98/1240/10 and a low WR1 through 8 games. I'm seriously wondering whether there's a player in the '19 draft I'd rather have than Boyd...although I'm sure a couple guys will get hyped up more around combine/draft time.

And he could have been traded for peanuts before the season. Crazy.

Or added from waivers in a lot of leagues. We're way too impatient with young players these days.

I added him off waivers after week 2. Pure dart throw as he was seemingly written off by most.
QB: Lamar Jackson, Matthew Stafford
RB: Dalvin Cook, D'Andre Swift, Chris Carson , Jerrick McKinnon, Alexander Mattisson
WR: DeAndre Hopkins, Michael Thomas, Adam Thielen, Will Fuller, Darius Slayton, Brandon Aiyuk, Keelan Cole,
TE: Evan Ingram, Drew Sample, Cole Kmet

Saw him sitting on the WW all off season. Thought, naw, no upside, possession guy, no TD upside, etc. Whoops.

Same here. Probably one of my best FA additions I've ever made. Probably only surpassed by miles Austin. Ahhhhhh miles Austin.... we went through so much together. We won our first championship together. We watched you blossom into a star and we watched your hamstrings shred to pieces.

I drafted him as the 272nd player in my startup this year, right after Jordan Lasley went off the board

I think I said this before but he may be the best route runner I’ve seen come out in the past few years. He just needed time to get NFL ready I guess. Similar to Funchess in that way, just needing some time

He had a pretty good rookie year (54/603/1), but last year was derailed by injury. He did finish 2017 with a 5/91/1 game in week 17, though.

AJG out at least a few games with an injury, so I guess we'll see if Boyd can be the WR1.

I do wonder if he'll stay in the slot or move outside, might find it harder to get open without Green taking extra attention.
I'm very intrigued to see him next week, I hope they line Mixon up outside more to help the passing game.

I can't remember what week it was, but my memory is that AJG missed a decent chunk of a game and Boyd thrived while he was out. Small sample size, though, not to mention that the defense obviously hadn't game planned for that scenario. I'm optimistic nonetheless.

Boyd reminds me a lot of Thielen to be honest.

Good size but not a huge WR.

Good athlete but not a freak. Very similar testing numbers (considering AT's was a pro-day) and body-types.

Insanely sticky hands, and really good routes.

And while neither is an explosive Julio-type athlete, both Boyd and Thielen are extremely good on-field athletes, doing the practical things on Sundays like contorting to catch an ill-thrown ball, leaping at just the right moment, and striding past defenders with skilled footwork.
