You act like Conner is a complete scrub. He was a 3rd round pick and was productive in college. While I agree that his situation makes him much more attractive in fantasy, but Conner isn't the complete bum you make him out to be.Phaded wrote: ↑Fri Oct 12, 2018 10:28 am If you look at the "average first rounder" than sure - but some owners are better drafters than others and hit more than 50% of the time. There is one owner in my league that always "reaches" as per consensus but somehow always hits.
That said - Conner can see his value tank pretty quickly especially because the production is more situation than talent. There are first rounders that retain high value for years. Or you can flip the pick come draft time as well. It is about the best assets in my opinion.
Looking ahead to the 2019 draft I would rather take my chances on James Conner than any of the RBs in that class. 2019 is a weak RB class right now. The best RB in that class is probably Bryce Love at Stanford. So would you rather take Love without knowing his landing spot over what you do know about Conner? Now if you can move him for a sure fire top 3 pick in 2020, that's a different conversation. 2020 is the draft you want to be loading up on.
