I just bought him for a 2020 3rd round pick. Seems like a decent lottery ticket.

FWIW Lockett looking like he's trending towards having an Agholor/Funchess type season from a year ago. Currently on a 64 reception, 952 yard pace and already has two TDs in two games despite the Seahawks struggling on offense. Guy got a long term deal, Baldwin can't get on the field and Lockett is generally trending up.

And Will Dissly is "on pace" for 1,176 yards and 16 TDs in that same offense.

I own Lockett and would like him to finally do something but lets not act like extrapolating 2 games is a smart thing to do..

It is simply one of those "somebody has to produce" scenarios, I hope he keeps it up but who knows.

Totally agree with the sentiment, skepticism is justified...but if I'm betting on Dissly vs Lockett

Haha I know I get your point and it's fair. Dissly is either the new Jack Doyle (unlikely) or he's going to have a very short window of fantasy relevance while the Seahawks suck (likely). Lockett just got signed to a long term deal and all indications are the Seahawks like the kid.

Another solid week in an improved Seahawks offense. Currently WR19 in PPR scoring and on pace for over 1000 receiving yards (not to mention scoring a TD per game). Steady drumbeat getting a little louder for the little man.

The funny thing to me about Lockett's success right now is that he's excelling in the opposite role I thought he'd have. He's being used as a deep threat and his skill set, i.e. short area quickness seems to fit great for him to be a possession guy a la Welker. *shrug*

I think the deep game is more Russell Wilson's M.O. Lockett might get more possession stuff in another situation.

Lockett is by far the best deep threat they have without PRich and Russ does throw a good deep ball. That being said, Lockett is a much more well rounded WR than he gets credit for I think. Going to be very interesting to see how targets are distributed when Baldwin is back.

With Schottenheimer the OC, people shouldn't take it for granted that any Seattle WR present or future will be relied upon the way Bevell did with Baldwin.

Smh that they fired Bevell only to get a worse OC in Schottenheimer. Schottenheimer's resume wasn't even good.

Commentary: Baldwin returning from injury and being eased back in - but also had more targets despite less snaps.
