Poll - how will Mark Ingram rank from weeks 7 - 16?

Postby joeday » Sun Aug 26, 2018 7:46 am

So with the suspension Ingram is missing the first four games, then I think he will be eased back in week 5, then the saints have a bye week 6. I'm guessing whatever the role Ingram has for the year will be implemented week 7 until the end of the season. What do you all think that role will be?

High rb2 seems good. Missing 6 weeks sucks, but if you have your team mid playoff rankings midway through the season, you should get a nice boost mid season to either improve lineup or fill in for an rb that got hurt around week 4

I'll be starting Barkley, Cook, Ajayi since Penny got hurt and with camp rumors I can't trust him. Ingram coming back will be a welcome relief as all those guys have questionmarks

I'm going with the unpopular opinion here. My guess is that Sean Peyton uses Johnathan Williams as last years Mark Ingram, he will prove he can handle that roll well and will push Ingram to a 2-6 touch per game roll and then Ingram will not resign with the Saints in the offseason. Seems like this is how Peyton has treated Ingram his entire time with the Saints so it's very fitting.

X2 Ingram has found his way into Sean Paytons doghouse plenty before. I can totally envision a scenario where Jonathan Williams comes out to start the season looking good. Knowing Ingram won't be planning to resign with the Saints at the end of the year, they might just decide to cut ties with him all together and either trade him or limit his carries from what he's used to.

Crazier things have happened.
