Unless I’m missing some hidden sarcasm, it would appear the comparison is indeed being made. Pretty far fetched to me, but to each their own. If they feel they are the same, odds are you won’t change an opinion (or at least have it acknowledged).

It is ridiculous because the fact remains that Mahomes can make that play over and over(just as he has in camp) while Alex Smith will never be able . Having a QB to take advantage of Hill's ability to take the top off of a defense is going to be transformative. It is funny that I 'rant' while you are convinced you are 'informative'. It's ridiculous that you aren't willing to admit the defense made an error and somebody did not fulfill there coverage duties. I have given credit for Mahomes exploiting it, but you are unwilling to admit the obvious, in that Atlanta's second team secondary blew their coverage resposibilities on the play.

Whether or not an error was made is absolutely pointless. Hill has been getting behind defenses routinely for two years yet Smith could not capitalize. You are implying this only happens because of errors, that this was a fluke.....two years of evidence says otherwise.

That's all I said, and that his numbers were only about 70 yards to that point. If you are getting anything more out of it than that, you are looking for something that isn't there.

There was no point to say it was such a ridiculous error on the defense other than to try to diminsh what Mahomes did. Error or not, it has no meaning in regards to what Hill and Mahomes displayed on that play.

I'm pretty sure it was the threat of Sammy underneath that drew the defense in, allowing Tyreek to get past the last man easily. That play does not happen without Sammy.
