Ongoing Rookie Draft

With all the recent developments regarding the rookie RBs, rookie ADP changed dramatically over just the last few weeks so I thought it would be interesting to post a rookie draft I am in right now.

12 Team, PPR, Superflex league that starts QB/RB/RB/WR/WR/Flex/Flex/SFlex. I bolded my picks.

1.01: Saquon Barkley, RB
1.02: Baker Mayfield, QB
1.03: DJ Moore, WR
1.04: Josh Rosen, QB
1.05: Sam Darnold, QB
1.06: Rashaad Penny, RB
1.07: Royce Freeman, RB
1.08: Josh Allen, QB
1.09: Derrius Guice, RB
1.10: Nick Chubb, RB
1.11: Kerryon Johnson, RB
1.12: Sony Michel, RB

2.01: Ronald Jones, RB
2.02: OTC

When's your next pick? I know you took 2 QBs already, but I'd be trying really hard to move up and get Lamar here. He just has massive upside and potential in fantasy.

I still have 2.01, 2.05, 3.01, 3.04, and 3.05. Not going to say what I’m thinking in case someone is on here from the league but it’s pretty crazy how much the rookie ADP has changed over the last week.

Nobody took Lamar Jackson yet? He was the 2nd QB taken off the board in all of my leagues, and none of them are superflex or 2 QB leagues.

I'd try to trade back. Someone needs a QB, right? Maybe even the Flacco owner would pay a good price.

If a trade cannot be agreed upon, I'd either take Jackson or Kerryon. Jackson will have some crazy value if he were to ever win the starting job in Baltimore. And KJ is not only a future starter, but a beast who can catch the ball out of the backfield.

Ridley is interesting too, and I like A Miller a lot for one of those future picks.

I think Lamar Jackson’s value is actually a lot less in SF than 1QB. In 1QB, an average starting QB isn’t really worth anything as there is no scarcity and thus there is a greater incentive to take a chance on a high upside guy like Jackson. In SF, however, a safe long term starting QB is incredibly valuable and thus I think Jackson loses a little bit of value.
