I was intrigued by the talent based on what he did at ND. If he continues producing as a starting WR without Watson, I will be convinced of his staying power.
I'd argue that if Fuller keeps producing with Savage it's just bonus points...odds are pretty high Savage is going to hurt his production and I don't think it's wise to interpret that as evidence Fuller isn't any good.

Don't think Watson's ACL should drastically change how anybody views Fuller long term 'cause he'll be back next season...but it's not ideal. As a Fuller owner you def want to see him and Watson continue to develop the chemistry they've got going on. Definite bummer :(

Buy, Sell, or Hold: Will Fuller?

Postby colonnaj94 » Wed Aug 15, 2018 10:58 pm

Hey guys, I was just curious what everyone thinks of Will Fuller over the next two-three seasons? I'm personally not sold on him as anything more than an inconsistent WR3 with upside.. But I was curious to see what everyone else thinks? Are we buying, selling, or holding Fuller? What can we expect from him moving forward?

From what I hear around, selling Fuller is difficult at the moment. No one seems to want him. Perhaps that makes him a good buy right now, then. He did add muscle weight this offseason. Although 185lbs at 6'0" is still too lean. I also wonder if he can maintain the weight he's added; after his Combine, apparently he dropped 15lbs. No wonder he's been fragile.

Personally, I can't buy Fuller at the price his owner likely requires until I see him stay healthy for an entire season. I'm also concerned Keke Coutee might become the superior deep threat in that offense.

As a buyer he's a more expensive Kenny Stills. I am looking to sell my one share of him as I agree with your assessment but nobody wants him.

Seems like there's only 1 person in each league who likes him, and that person is usually the guy who owns him. He's a sell if you can get anywhere near ADP value for him, but otherwise a hold.

It all depends on his cost in your league because from what I have seen it is all over the map.

I would rather have him over any of the rookie WRs this year though.

You can't deny what he did with Watson last year. While certainly unsustainable, I think he and Watson's skill sets complement each other: Watson can buy time and with enough time Fuller can run away from almost anyone. So I'm real curious to see what he can do if they're on the field together for more than a month and am very much hoping he takes over Larry Fitz as my WR3.

All that said, any time I mentioned him in trades this offseason, no one was even remotely interested in him. Which I found strange...

any time I tried to acquire it seemed like people wanted an over pay based on his production from last year with Watson.

this really does depend on how he's valued in a league, I'd buy him for any second and sell him for anything near his ADP value

I think he would be a buy for sure in Best Ball, but in PPR he does not have the value. I also think he would get a slight bump in standard.

i cant seem to buy him anywhere so these reports that nobody wants him are news to me.

hes a good buy or a hold. he showed great chemistry with watson but hes in a spot where he cant get the targets to be a WR1 without a good number of scores and a great ypr. i think hes a nice guy to buy for a 2nd if possible in hopes he can be a wr2 that puts up a big week here and there. he needs to stay healthy and demand more targets with his play.
