Corey Grant

Talk is he will be getting more involved this year catching ball out of backfield. Yeldon will walk net year leaving this guy the only backup behind fournette.

Are deep roster owners nibbling?

Yeah. Think I took him in the 16th round of my recent PPR startup where I'm back hoarding RB2 flex candidates behind Kamara.

He flashed in preseason, in the playoffs last year and Jax is starving for someone with a little more 'juice' than Fornette.

I could see what the heck flex status at some point if all breaks right and plug and play RB 2 if injury happens.

FWIW I think he might be the highest paid running back on the team with the guys in front of him still on rookie deals.

That the Jags slapped a whopping second round tender on him is pretty interesting. Either they're waaaaay overvaluing him, or Grant will be a hot commodity next offseason. Either way, paying him 2.9 million this year implies that Yeldon and Grant behind Fournette on the depth-chart are more of a 2a and 2b situation than a 2 and 3 situation. And I ain't sure Yeldon is the 2a.

I've stashed Grant, personally. Fournette doesn't have the most durable of track records, particularly with his running style, and if he were to go down then I suspect Grant might be a high-end flex play.

I really like Grant. I picked him up after our rookie/ FA draft. Granted there wasn’t too many more options available, but after reading into him more, it’s going to be hard to get rid of him. I am stacked at RB, so I can afford to let him sit this year and see what happens with him.

i think he had a couple of 50+ yard tds from fake punts where they handed him the ball. that's why the ypc is so skewed.

Yeah, he's certainly fast, he was expected to beat the 40 record when he came out (wasn't he a snub at the combine, I forget) .. the 4.19 was at his pro day if I remember right ..
