My gosh! SO many things changing for these rookie RB's.
With pick #2 and Barkley off the board, who are you taking?
My draft is tonight!

Still Guice for me
Re: You're on the clock. Who's #2?
Guice or Penny - Guice if you can wait a year for an RB1 possibility, Penny if you are willing to take a slightly riskier pick and benefit immediately.... that's my look on it

Re: You're on the clock. Who's #2?
Thank you for this thread. I have a mid round 1st but I believe I'll have a shot at, at least 2 or either Michel guice or chubb and I am SO confused.
I'm not going to discuss situation at all because this is dynasty and I believe "the creme will always rise" if you're that good teams will find a way to get you the ball
Chubb was the 1.1 pre-injury and has come back good but not the amazing superstar he was. Despite the vast majority of passes going to Michel I do believe he CAN catch the ball and will have opportunities in the pros. Even gurley lost receptions in his junior year. Georgia seems to prefer throwing to the younger guys.
Chubb wrecked the combine. Inknow BP isn't a great metric for success but a low number to me basically just shows a bad work ethic. Chubs sparq scores is pretty unreal and there is a decent correlation between sparq scores and RB success. Going to be watching him Thursday closely.
Michel is interesting. A lot of people are concerned about how well bill spreads the touches around but in the past when he had a worldclass super star like moss he used him. I really doubt the Pat's would waste 1st round capital on a guy they didnt intent to use heavily. They find their gadget guys in the 6th or undrafted. Last surprising offense picks were gronk and Hernandez in the 2nd and 3rd round and they created the 2 TE system. Bill MUST have big plans for him. But his combine wasn't great and has had fumble issues
Guice was the clear cut 2 on almost every mock I've seen. He's a fun runner to watch looks like Marshawn. His combine was pretty pedestrian and his college numbers were barely better than chubs despite being the clear cut bell cow. The injury wouldn't scare me away but it's not nothing either.
Basically I have no idea. I love chubb and his work ethic and his combine makes me think his knee injury is 100% and his average numbers were more just about having a talented 1B in michel to rely on. Perhaps if they didnt have that he would have ripped it up.
So... flip a 3 sided coin perhaps?

Re: You're on the clock. Who's #2?
Care to elaborate? His numbers are mind blowing and his combine numbers were also pretty meh.
Also he was the 7th RB taken so perhaps NFL scouts who really know their bleep weren't that enamoured either

Re: You're on the clock. Who's #2?
Where a RB was taken is more important than the order in which they were taken.

So you think Washington has potential to be a great running team?Dynasty DeLorean wrote: ↑Wed Aug 15, 2018 9:12 amWhere a RB was taken is more important than the order in which they were taken.
OC and head coaches change. O lines get better worse. I just want to look at the player in a vacuum

Re: You're on the clock. Who's #2?
There's so many threads on this same topic.... lol
My answer in this one is the same as all others Guice, but I would try to trade down a little if I was confident my leaguemates wouldn't take him.

Re: You're on the clock. Who's #2?
I'd still take Guice at 2 if he was your number 2. Adjusting value due to injury, to me, is stupid. RBs get hurt, everyone who passed on Guice for the non-injured Penny yesterday now has an injured Penny who may have his upside capped by Carson this season if Carson picks up where he left off. RBs get injured, Barkely's hammy strain could tunr into a tear later, soft tissues injuries linger, Penny's finger keeping him off the field could lead to further injury later as his body won't be properly acclimated without pre season work, Michel just had his knee scoped.... It's a fools game to draft based on health. Talent and situation will win out over the longterm.
Re: You're on the clock. Who's #2?
We are playing dynasty not 're draft correct?
Nothing changes. Too much overreaction around here.
Guice.

Re: You're on the clock. Who's #2?
I think he's the second best back in this class. Lots of other guys I like, but if I can afford to wait I'd rather stick with Guice.
Re: You're on the clock. Who's #2?
I guess basically what I'm asking is WHY does everyone like guice so much more than michel and chubb. In a vacuum before the draft let's say.
His numbers were really much better than either and they were splitting the load. He was the no question clear cut bell bow.
His measurables leave something to be desired and so does michels. Chubb was 98th percentile sparq score athlete. His size and speed was superior athlete level.
Before the injury and michel came in to steal some Carrie's he was on pace to be the easy 1.1

Re: You're on the clock. Who's #2?
Kris, I would have expected a more seasoned fantasy owner to have taken at least some time to look for this answer.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
