I hear of guys running in the 4.3's all the time in college, I don't buy it. Guice is not a sub 4.4 guy, not a chance. I believe Barkley could have pushed sub 4.4, but not Guice.
So it's funny you mention this. Saquon ran a 4.63 at the Nike SPARQ Combine in 2014.

It's why people were so excited to see him run at the NFL combine. That 40 he ran as a senior in high school didn't match up with how fast he looked on tape in college.

After the combine I actually looked up how often a large discrepancy in 40 times was among running backs and whether it mattered for the elite rb's. It's pretty rare but I didn't find it to be an indicator of anything.

A brief look back from 2016-2018, of the "known" rb's, pretty much only Kamara, CMC, Ballage (and Guice) had sizable differences in their 2 40 runs.

thebeast wrote: Fri Aug 10, 2018 8:01 pm Ugh. For a dynasty forum there are a lot of short term thinkers. RBs get injured. Go ahead, pick a guy with lesser talent and wait until he has an injury. Not many rbs make it through a career without a significant injury. This reminds me of when everyone sold Charles or AP after their acl tears, savvy owners scooped them up and reaped rewards, while over reactors lost. Tell me, what rb had an acl inury then had their talent decline?
You are making an assumption. I don't think guys like Penny or Chubb are lesser talents. I had Guice at 1.04 post NFL draft. Had him in the same tier as Penny and Chubb pre draft, but preferred Penny's overall game more, and Chubb's vision I thought was better. I do not think Guice is a superior talent to them, never have. There is really no proof of it, it's all speculative, and a case can be built on either side that is just as strong.
Why do you like Chubb over guice? I haven't seen that very often.

I have a shot at Chubb guice or Michel in the middle if the 1st. I'm 99% sure based on the rumours I'm hearing.

Are to elaborate this decision is killing me
QB - DWatson(HOU)Minshew(JAX)Darnold(NYJ)
RB -NChubb(CLE)DHenry(TEN)JTaylor(IND)Gurley(ATL)
WR -DHopkins(ARI)ACooper(DAL)CGodwin(TB)OBJ(CLE)
TE - HHenry(SD)DGoeddart(PHI)
K - Zurlien(LAR)Crosby(GB)
Def - ARI DAL
[rookie] Haskins(WAS)DSwift(DET)Jefferson(MIN)MHardman(KC)
7th pick in 2021

Rosters must always be 3qbs 4wrs 4rbs 2tes 2kickers 2dst and protected players don't take up a roster spot, but are only for rookie/2nd-year players that were drafted

I won my league last year and was coming into this season with Gurley, Gordon, and Mixon. Ended up with the 1.09 and 1.10... took Guice and Chubb. Totally fine with him on IR for this year and then rolling with him as my 3/4 next year after I have to give up Gordon (contract league). Feel it was a bit short-sighted if my league mates to let him fall that far.

Got him at 1.18 in one rookie draft a few days ago. (20 team league, start 1 QB) Put him on my IR.
