How did Luck look?

Just saw the highlights of his throws and he didn’t look bad. I mean there were a lot of short throws and dump offs to the backs, but what about hits? Did he get hit shy and if so, how did he look?

He tried scrambling and got hit pretty well by a linebacker in one play that I saw. Jumped right up high fiving teammates. He didn't try to slide or shy away from the hit.

I know he wanted to take a hit, but hopefully he learns to avoid this type of contact going forward. You'd think he would have after seeing his career almost end. Manning and Brady were/are great at this. I know Luck is much more mobile than those 2, but going down before taking a big sack, or sliding and giving up 3 yards is the difference in 7+ wins for the organization and maybe a career saver.

In the post-game interview Luck said that he wanted to take that hit to make sure he could "get hit, get up, and keep going." He's going to get hit during the season and it was nice to see him be able to take it. He never unloaded a big throw, but he was able to manage the game and move the ball down the field. The big throws will come.

Taking one hit is honestly nothing..
As the season wears on - it will not be as easy to keep taking those hits. He needs to play more careful.

Not sold his arm is 100 percent what it was. Looks like he's lost a bit off the fastball, not a ton, but a few MPH.

That at least gives me some hope that he is somewhat returned to form. Even at 80% of what he was, he is still a solids QB play in fantasy.

He looked like about 70% of prime Luck, but I wasn’t expecting anything more than maybe 80-85% this season. So for his first preseason game? I’m satisfied.

Yeah, but that "one" hit was Bobby Wagner and I was screaming, its the preseason you @#$@%$# idiot .. ffs. No need to scramble like that ..

But Luck looked good to me, I say all engines a go ...
