I got Phillip Lindsay in the 4th, not worthless, if you know what you’re doing.

Way too early to say that Lindsay is not worthless. And also yeah there's always going to be a few rookies that go 3rd round or later (if at all) and end up being valuable. Of course any time you draft one who is valuable you think it's because you "know what you're doing" when in reality you just got lucky.

Yes I'm aware it's possible to hit on late round picks. Congrats on nailing Philip Lindsay in the 4th, he went undrafted in the May rookie draft and unclaimed until August in my league which I'd argue actually has some relatively competent owners.

Without nitpicking where the aforementioned players actually went in the average rookie draft last year, I'll just say you shouldn't confuse one of the strongest rookie draft classes in a very long time with what happens in the 3rd round and beyond on average.

I think a decent % of people think they know what they are doing. I also think a high % of people like to pat themselves on their own backs on these forums.

Something to think about - A wiser person that I once said: A knowledgeable person is a person that understands that they don't know everything.

For many of these 3rd or 4th round selections to be fantasy relevant, many chips had to fall just right.

I drafted him in the 2.01 and 2.03 in the 2 leagues i own him, i had to move up in the 2nd round both times to get him.

Not a single rookie in the 2013 draft with ADP from 25-36 is currently fantasy relevant. I think Jordan Reed is the only one who ever carried significant value. The expected return on a 3rd round pick is close to 0. Yeah we all know that you might get lucky, but you probably won't.

But if you go past 36 (mizelle 2013 August Rookie Only) you hit Kenny Stills, Rex Burkhead, Marquise Goodwin and Vance McDonald.

Also depends when you drafted/how many league members, but I guess it's fun to pat yourself on the back.
Going by 10 team
In SuperFlex early 2017 off-season Godwin's ADP was late second-early third, KG was undrafted in top 40, James Conner was going in 3rd-4th rounds, Kupp was back end of the 3rd round.

Obviously if you were drafting in July or August you weren't getting Godwin/Golladay that late
