there's talk of gordon returning soon so i see this confirmation of that.

Short term improvement due to expected targets going up. Long term I think it’s worse as I was intrigued to see him with Mayfield. I expected Gordon to be out of the picture next year and I still really think Coleman could be a very good player. Now, instead of a potential future with Mayfield, it’s a future of a constant carrousel of not so great/accurate of QBs.

Awesome news for owners who have held on.

Buffalo is where WRs' careers go to die, so I dunno that this is awesome news.

Even aside from the pessimistic QB situation, the high winds in Buffalo aren't conducive to big or consistent WR stats.

On the other hand, this is good news for Antonio Callaway.

As a owner of both Coleman and Callaway this off-season I definitely feel I made the right choice trading Coleman away (a deal for Kenny Stills).

Prior to the trade his training camp reports have been nothing short of disappointing. There have been numerous questions on his commitment and desire to actually be on an NFL roster.

Last year we all spoke about the potential for Jordan Matthews in Buffalo (remember him?!). It's almost the same situation... High draft pick, 2/3 years in the league, struggled with injuries, has the 'opportunity'.

Only I see this as worse. Buffalo doesn't have an offensive line to speak of, a rookie QB and not an established stater (Tyrod). Or they could trot out a choice of a career backup or a guy who threw 5 picks on his first start!

The only pass catcher I remotely feel 'good' about using in Buffalo would be Charles Clay and that's only because tight ends after the first 5/6 guys is a lottery.

On the other hand I see this as a definite bump for Antonio Callaway who has been 'burning DB's' in camp and now has a shot at the #3 job.

With Josh Gordon's off field concerns and potential that he's not a Brown in 2019 he has every opportunity to develop, provided he can keep his nose clean of course!

Clear short and long term downgrade for Coleman. I was a big fan coming into the league but couple his injuries with one of the worst situations in the league, the future is bleak.

Not sure McCarron has the arm strength to hit him downfield and I'm not sure Peterman or Allen have the accuracy to do it. Coleman was a poor fit in Cleveland, but this is probably worse. I'll hold to see how it plays out, but I have almost no expectations here.

He has the shot at being "the guy" and failed miserably. Now he goes to Buf. and were all excited again. I don't see it, goes from a bad to worse offense with an even worse QB. Pass.

He was basically drafted to be the top option in Cleveland and failed to capitalize on his opportunity. He wasn't "buried" in Cleveland...his lack of production forced the team to bury him.
Failed to capitalize on what exactly. A team that has gone 1-31 and whose best quarterback the last decade just threw four interceptions in the CFL. He also dealt with some unlucky injuries. Going to a team that can actually win and has some semblance of an actual football team will only help him. I could see him becoming a useful WR 2/3 if things break well in Buffalo.
Never thought Coleman was very good. He double clutches way too many balls and a very sloppy route runner. Perhaps if he takes his craft seriously in Buffalo and works hard he can develop but as of today I wouldn't want to count on him as a WR3 in fantasy.

Don't really think he was ever drafted to be the top option. We see these types get drafted to stretch the field. See a few recent draft picks from Cincy and Houston. Coleman struggles at this level to get open because straight line speed simply isn't enough.

Can you post some of these reports? I’ve done some searching but can’t find reports like this. Although...I was sure I had read a report that said he had made highlight catches multiple days in a row and I can’t find that either. Trade news is now cluttering up all the Corey Coleman news.

From 1st to 7th round in two years? Either Coleman is trash or the Browns have no idea what they're doing.
