He signs with the Patriots and now he's someone worth owning?

Hard pass.
I’m not saying that he is going to be a saint now that he is with the Pats, but I do think he could put up FLEX numbers. He definitely isn’t what he used to
be though. He could be a nice red zone option for the Pats.

I know he had a bad year last year, but I honestly think he was a bad fit in TEN. That whole offense was bad last year.

I read somewhere that he has had several offers, but he didn’t think any of them were the right fit. So maybe he was holding out for the best opportunity?

I would assume it either has to do with

(a) Tom Brady and his success with White Receivers (WRs).

or

(b) Sort of open depth chart, at least for first 4 weeks, after Gronk

or

(c) Belichicks love of attempting, and sometimes succeeding in revitalizing old veterans careers.

or

(d) some combo of A and/or B and or C.

I picked this guy up strictly to sell him with the potential and uptalk that there is no Cooks, Amendola, or Mitchell, while Edelman is out for a few weeks on top. He's above Britt according to the depth chart. Other than Gronk and Hogan, let's grab and sell now.

The most recent NESN projection does not have Decker making the 53 man roster - however I am not experienced enough to know how reliable NESN coverage of the Patriots is - ie is this an educated guess or ??

If it matters at all, I noted earlier that I wouldn't expect Decker to be paid more than the veteran minimum with some possible bonuses (as to why he was signed instead of someone like Dez). FWIW, Decker was signed for $950k -the veteran minimum for a player with his experience in the league (8 years) is $915k this season. It wouldn't be surprising at all if he's ultimately released having come in to fill just a role in camp with the injuries to other WRs.
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.

And by all accounts, so far in camp he's struggled mightily.

I'm guessing he doesn't even make the 53.

Yea I have seen where he is struggling mightily in camp. Doesn’t sound very promising ffor him to make the roster.

Which is also supposedly expected when joining the Patriots...it's almost as if it's a right of passage to struggle.

I'd say yes. Even if he were later to decide to "un-retire" at some point down the road, he really didn't look to have much left to offer. He's done.

I very much enjoyed having him on my team during his time in Denver, and for a season with the Jets. Hope he has a good life after football.

Guy was a very, very reliable option for 5 years when it came to yards and TDs, pretty darn good for a 3rd RD WR.

Yeah I know I had him on a few championship squads over the years. Pretty underrated fantasy WR.

He only went round 3 because of college injuries.
