Luck - Still top 5?

What are people's thoughts on Luck's future? Read some positive reviews from camp so far and he's on the right side of 30, but he's only got 2 solid seasons and his weapons are on the weak side.

Are people still valuing him at the top echelon of fantasy QB's or have we moved on?

I've only got Dak and the Luck owner is probably willing to take less than a few seasons ago, so not sure if worth pursuing and wanted to get your thoughts.

I would have above him. Luck would be in the tier of Dak, Winston, Mahomes, Brady, Brees depending on risk vs upside and immediet production or not needs. Luck may have the most upside of this tier, but also biggest flop chance. I'd take all 10 of the guys listed above over Luck even if I was a gambler

For me personally, there's no way I would take an unproven QB over Luck. I've only been playing dynasty for a handful of years but at this point please just give me the player we know is good. I can understand Russ, Rodgers, Wentz, Cam, Stafford.

At this point it is all mental preparation and adjustment. He looks stronger than ever and reports are that he is throwing well. I put him somewhere between 5 and 10 this year. Top 5 for sure next year if he has no setbacks.

This is the real question on how we value him, though. Listening to some local Indy shows, they are cautiously optimistic, but he had setbacks last year, and the possibility of one is real, but is that enough to lower him below top 5? That's up to the individual, and I don't think either side is wrong. There is a risk factor, and it depends how you see that factor.

I do not think any owner can really answer this question affirmatively today without some subjective wishing and hoping. The only way we will know is when he is in real games getting hit by defenders of opposing teams...

This is one of those times that I'm very surprised by some of the responses to a thread. I'm having trouble finding 5 QBs that I would take ahead of Luck, let alone 10 or 12. Is the down opinion totally based on health? I can't imagine any other reason, because the only time he's finished outside of the top 7 in QB scoring was due to injury or being a rookie...

I thought this thread would have the same type of responses as the Russel Wilson thread - a whole bunch of yeses. I agree with Midnight's post above, with the exception of having Luck just ahead of Watson. So I guess I have him ranked 4th right now with only Rodgers, Wilson, and Wentz ahead of Luck in the top tier. Then probably Watson, Stafford, Garoppolo, Newton, and Cousins making up the next tier in whatever order.

No idea why people have Garoppolo anywhere near the top 5. Hype is out of control for me. As for Luck, I don't really think he has a ton of weapons, and I question whether or not he can just step back in and be hyper productive. There are a lot of good QB's right now, many of who'm don't have the throwing shoulder questions, so for me it's about risk vs reward. I'm not sure how much more Luck gives you than Stafford, if at all this year, and I think his rushing numbers will drop off if he is going to become more careful with the position he puts himself in.
