Dez Bryant doesn't seem like a Patriots kind of player to me.

edit: You know what, I take that back. Randy Moss, Chad Johnson, now Kenny Britt... I suppose Bill would be willing to venture on a personality like Dez.

But I dunno that Dez would be willing to take the pay and lack of role guarantee that the Patriots would offer him.

RE: Dez, do the bookies know something we don't?

Spoiler Alert: The Ravens just popped up with the best odds out of nowhere and the Browns are off the list.

I'd have no issue with Baltimore. There's certainly opportunity to be had in that WR corps. Interesting article Phaded.

I am starting to wonder if players with the last name Mathews or Matthews are cursed .. both Ryan and Jordan have had nice starts to their career derailed by injury.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

That's what I saw. Probably doesn't change his fantasy outlook much since owners were counting on him getting his shot during the Edelman suspension, but at least this leaves a glimmer of hope.

Can he be designated for return? If he can't don't know why the Pats wouldn't just cut him since he's on a 1 year deal.

From what i have read, no. Only limited spots for that type of IR designation so if he comes back, he would negotiate an injury settlment with the Pats and then be free to sign with whomever. Otherwise, he is IR all season and no return for the Pats.

Could there be a liability issue there? The team is protected from being sued if he's on IR and in their system of treating doctors, but they cut him loose and it's termination for injury on the job...? I don't know how all that stuff works, protecting teams from lawsuits...

At best he would have gone 40/500/4. Minor news if you ask me.

I have been a JMatt fan since his college days. He always seemed like a solid player, not a superstar, but a solid player. All reports were that he is a good kid and a hard worker. Despite all of that I never had him on my roster...until i traded a 3rd and 5th for him two hours before he hurt his hammy. I really thought that he would have a chance to put up some decent numbers at least the first 4 weeks with Edelman out and I might be able to flip him for more than that 3rd/5th. Damn my Hitler karma...

Is JMatt straight up droppable now in 20-roster sized dynasty leagues? Assuming being on IR means he can't return until week 8 at the earliest?

Alright was he actually cut or is he on IR? New England's website shows him on IR but all the reports say that he has been cut.
