It can be debilitating. I have heard it in connection with the incredibly small number of people who have autoimmune reactions to vaccines. Wonder how his came about.

He saw a couple of my experts and has just found out he has the auto immune disease, Guillian Barre syndrome, which they caught early but there’s no timetable on how long he will be out. Honestly, as much as you miss a player on the field, (he’s started all 80 games in his 5 year career) I just hope he gets healthy for every day life. This can be a very dangerous disease from what I’ve read and heard about it.
Damn. That's like a goalie for my Minnesota Wild being diagnosed with MS. I didn't care about seeing him play again, I just wanted him to be able to still live a healthy life with his family. Harding played for a year (missed a month, come back, miss a month, etc) after his diagnosis and raised millions for MS research with Mayo Clinic so dang good job by him seeing his ability to be a public face champion for the cause

That’s awesome that he raised money and awareness, basically did something positive out of a bad situation. From everything that I’ve seen, Frederick is a good guy off the field too, he’s involved in charity work, etc and I know he’s married with a family. On the field, I’m just assuming he’s out for the season, from what I’ve read, probably the best case scenario is only out two months but I would think that they would need to play it extra safe with this and I’m just assuming he’s out all season. Mark Schlereth, former o-lineman was diagnosed in 1993, missed half that season, came back in 1994 and ended up playing 6 more seasons but they say it affects everyone differently so maybe since they supposedly caught it early, he will recover nicely. I had heard of it before but knew very little but after reading up on it some, it’s a very scary situation.

Charles Sims on IR for the Bucs, this could get interesting in Tampa with Barber/Jones

Sounds like that potentially serious looking Tyrod Taylor wrist injury turned out to be a dislocated pinkie finger. Sounds like he should be ready to go week 1. Everybody holster your Baker Mayfield flags for the time being.

I remember that. Though I am far from a Wild fan (Go Preds), that but it was a great cause that he was able to support.

Yeah, your leg should not bend like that. I understand why those hits are trying to be eliminated. That was a legit helmet rule call. There have been some bad ones, but that one could have also caused damage to the one inflicting the hit as well.

I thought Lee could have had a nice season. Maybe by chance he'll still play this year but I picked up DJ Chark last night anyhow

Ian Rapoport
@RapSheet

#Giants star pass-rusher Olivier Vernon, who was carted off during practice yesterday, suffered just a sprained ankle based on initial tests, I’m told. Two weeks until the opener, so there is time to get Vernon ready. It may be close.

I would be curious to know if injury totals have increased or decreased since practice time was "legislated" by the NFL CBA years ago. Obviously, as is the case in many sports, part of it* is because players are bigger & faster - Dick Vermeil I believe noted that when he coached in 1980 almost no players were over 270lb and when he came back 15 years later how much of a size differential there was.

* - the rash of injuries
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

Marqise Lee placed on IR

Jaleel Scott (4th RD WR Ravens), who hasn't done crap so far, also placed on IR

Supposedly, Josh Allen could have a concussion to boot.

It's like Cameron Meredith all over again, except this time I didn't see it happen live and, more relevantly, I don't own Lee. Phew! I got enough freaking injuries already as it is.
