Warren Sharp discussed it in one of his podcasts a little while ago, like last month? He was talking about how players in practice should be wearing knee braces, especially OL and DL .. And yes any playing surface that has good traction lets the players move faster, but also increases the risk for injury ..

Ian Rapoport

@RapSheet

Good news for the #49ers on TE George Kittle: No tears or structural damage on his separated shoulder after tests. Not serious.

Warren Sharp
@SharpFootball

•No RB1 in Washington.
•Last yr Gruden called the #3 most run-heavy offense on 1st downs. It was horribly inefficient & poor use of resources.
•In 2018 WAS faces #3 most difficult run Ds v #20 pass Ds & faces the #2 most difficult overall sked.
•Gruden better pass more often.

To elaborate, everyone has the same size _CL. Doesn't matter if you can squat a ton or your own body weight it's the thickness of a pencil. Combine that with these artificial surfaces that have lots of grip, instead of a grass chunk flying off the field, a ligament is tearing because something has to give under those extreme forces.

Another ACL. It's name should be changed from "Pre-Season" to "Knee-Season" at this rate.

Sounds like Dallas Goedert may have suffered a significant injury to his arm in practice.

"McKinnon reached for his knee after a play in Sunday’s practice, but he didn’t leave for the locker room, stayed to watch the remainder of drills and signed autographs for fans afterward."

"McKinnon watched the remaining drills and wasn't being looked at by the 49ers' medical team, but the issue will be one to watch"

"Troubling moment at practice as Jerick McKinnon was hobbling, grabbing behind right knee. After getting checked out by medical staff, he is walking around and is watching remainder of practice. GM John Lynch slapped hands with McKinnon after he got up from the ground."

Hopefully just a precaution, but after the way the Guice injury went down, better wait and see.

Crowell concussion confirmed. Hopefully not too serious, he looked good. They should just rest him until the regular season the way guys are dropping right now.

I agree. Surely they will, I would be extra safe especially being that it’s still preseason and of course, concussions are so serious. As far as fantasy goes, I own a bunch of Crowell shares, I’ve been able to get him late in startups and cheap on trades. I was banking on using him, mainly as a bye week fill in but think theres a decent chance he could be more than that this season.

If Barkley's injury turns out to be anything, the fantasy world is going to weep. Here's to hoping its nothing because i was looking forward to seeing him play, no shares of him though. Although i am matched up against him in week 1 with both of my teams. LOL
