Re: Ronnie Jones
Depending on league of course, the first offer was an easy reject, and 2nd was somewhere between even and you giving up too much value.
League #1- 14 tm ppr, 1Q, 2R, 3W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1K
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex
League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def
League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def
1 DT, 2 DE, 2 LB, 1 CB, 1 S, 1 flex
League #2- 12 team PPR, 1Q, 1R, 2W, 1T, 1 R/W/T, 1 W/R/T, 1 Def
League #3- 12 tm PPR, 1Q, 0R (yes, ZERO RB) 3W, 1T, 2 R/W/T flex, 1 Def
Re: Ronnie Jones
Jones for Ajayi is an insult at this point in time.
I say this even as someone who is now worrying about Ajayi's knee. Despite the knee issue, it is very plausible that Ajayi finishes as a top-10 RB this year, as Philly gets as much use from him as they can before letting him go next offseason.
On the other hand, Jones' value this year probably isn't going to recover unless something happens to Barber. Great chance Jones will be dirt-cheap to acquire this offseason.

Re: Ronnie Jones
I would much rather have Ajayi.
No idea why Cohen still holds the value he does. It's been a year now since he was more usable than James White or Theo Riddick, both of whom you could probably get for nearly nothing.

Re: Ronnie Jones
Barber hasn't been very effective so far, can't imagine Jones being inactive much longer.
Think his play is being overshadowed by the feel-good story of Fitzmagic right now.

Re: Ronnie Jones
If Barber hasn't been effective throughout preseason and the first week of the season and Jones was still inactive, doesn't that worry you about how the Bucs see him as a prospect?
Re: Ronnie Jones
I think it's less an indictment of how he runs and more an indictment of how poorly he pass protects and understands the receiving portion of being an NFL RB. No need to hurry him into the mix while Fitzmagic is throwing the ball everywhere.heyfeefellskee wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 8:23 amIf Barber hasn't been effective throughout preseason and the first week of the season and Jones was still inactive, doesn't that worry you about how the Bucs see him as a prospect?

Re: Ronnie Jones
Jones simply has to stop making a lot of mistakes. Bucs cut Jeremy McNichols last year (albeit a 5th round pick) because he kept making the same mistakes at high volume.
Peyton Barber is not a RB that teams really want to start. He's not absurdly talented, nor is he really all that skilled. He'll get what's blocked for and what isn't blocked for. He doesn't make many mistakes; Ronald Jones makes a lot of mistakes. The job is Jones if he can just do the bare minimum.

Re: Ronnie Jones
Exactly what he said. Sometimes we forget that NFL Coaches want specific things out of their players. As physically talented as they may be, if they do not do something that a coach feels is key then they will not see the field as often as we want or expect them to. We have seen this time and time again - sometimes because the player was not capable of understanding, sometimes because the player did not care to understand, and sometimes because the player did understand, but could not execute.Cameron Giles wrote: ↑Mon Sep 17, 2018 10:31 am Jones simply has to stop making a lot of mistakes. I for one have never ever said RoJo was not talented. But as long as the Buccaneers are winning, RoJo fails to reach certain criteria, and as long as Barber keeps doing what the coaches want from him, I expect RoJo to remain mostly sidelined. Should any of those things change then RoJo will get his chance(s).

Re: Ronnie Jones
Why not hold at this point if that's his value? Lol not saying I'm optimistic but I'd rather let him see the field before I trade him for a cheap TE
Re: Ronnie Jones
I was waiting for that. Shocker. I just can't wrap my head around this strange thinking. Now, we are talking in circles, again.MEuRaH wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 12:04 pm Can't let this thread die until I find out: How much longer you Ronald Jones supporters are going to hold out for? Weeks? Months?

How on earth is it so difficult of a concept? In dynasty, it behooves owners to have and utilize patience. NOT everything in this game and in life is immediate gratification oriented. I'm not saying at all that there isn't a chance that Ronald Jones falls flat on his face and is out of the league working in a convenience store in 2 years. I'm CLEARLY also saying to the best of my ability that your conviction and short sightedness, is nothing short of troubling. Redraft leagues are either very recent in your past or somehow you haven't been able to leave that approach behind or compartmentalized.

Re: Ronnie Jones
While I understand the patience piece things have also changed in that rookie RBs are expected to produce immediately (even though this is not realistic it is how it is today), so him not even playing immediately is concerning.JFever wrote: ↑Thu Sep 27, 2018 12:12 pmI was waiting for that. Re: Ronnie Jones
Well the real concern is that he doesn’t even dress and is behind 2 guys that would be RB3s on any other team. But I’ll continue to hold because I spent capital on him and I don’t have anything better to do
