Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
I know everybody wants the next bellcow stud but most aren’t lucky enough to be starting 2 top 10 rb’s. With that in mind, who are your sleepers this year for quality rb2 production?
These are the guys I like:
Jamaal Williams: I know he has his doubters but I feel like he has a great chance to be the primary starter in Green Bay and any starting Rb tied to Rodgers is good for me. The 2 week suspension isn’t a huge buffer but it should definitely slant the first team carries throughout camp knowing that Jones won’t be available for those first 2 weeks. I think Williams puts it all together and will reap the benefits of playing alongside Rodgers.
CJ Andersen: I feel like his role in Carolina is flying under the radar. I feel like he will get enough touches to make some noise and stay relevant. I just don’t see a lot of the vacated carries falling to McCaffrey and CJ scores enough TD’s and catches enough passes to make the cut.
Rex Burkhead: I like Michel a lot and think he will score very well in this offense but I just feel like Bill trusts Burkhead to do everything he is supposed to do. I think Rex finally stays healthy and with this offense, there should be plenty of TD’s to go around.
And 1 dark horse. Isaiah Crowell. Change of scenery helps here and he makes a return to relevance.
Maybe I will get lucky and have at least one hit here. Lol.

Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
Crowell is the dark house? I like him better than the rest of the list as a sneaky RB to end up top 10
If you can't leave at least a 20% tip, you can't afford to eat out.
Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
I can definitely see Crowell running away with that spot and posting a very solid season. I’m taking baby steps though. Lol.

Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
Crowell was hyped last year and he fell on his face. Why would this year be any different?
I'll say Gore, clement, Deangelo Henderson, Jalen Richard, Alfred blue.

I like the Clement pick. He is on waivers right now in my league and I am hoping I can find a spot for him. Just not sure if I will have the roster space. Like the list.

Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
Make room. Ajayi has never held up and his knees aren't getting any better. They rotate their backs plenty, he'll get plenty of touches and opportunity.
Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
My guess is somebody will take him in our rookie draft. I would almost be tempted to take him at 2.04 but that feels a tad early. If I waited until 3.06, I feel he may be gone by then. Not real sure who I would drop right now. Cole is about to be dropped to make room for my Kicker slot. Then I am full.

Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
Keep an eye out for Devontae Booker. Freeman is not assured of being a bell cow back. The Broncos like him in pass protection too, so he will probably be out there a lot more than people think.

Of the four listed I would put Crowell as most likely for RB2 numbers

Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
No one said he's missed any due to his knees. He's just reminding everyone that those knees are almost certainly going to be an issue in the near future, in addition to the other injuries Ajayi has fought.HundPRM wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 6:08 pmAjayi has never missed a game due to his knees in his career.Space Cowboy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 4:05 pmMake room. Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
I presume he's thinking about the rest periods Miami was giving him before they dealt him. A presumption on my part because ppl have mentally labeled him injury prone despite his production and actual performance.HundPRM wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 6:08 pmAjayi has never missed a game due to his knees in his career.Space Cowboy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 4:05 pmMake room. Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
"Has never held up and his knees aren't getting any better." As far as I know, his knees have never actually cost him any time. Also, as far as I know, he's only missed a handful of games in his rookie year due to broken ribs. Not sure how that equals "never held up."Pac_Eddy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 6:33 pmNo one said he's missed any due to his knees. Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
I don't recall Crowell being all that hyped but I'll take your word for it... He's gone from an offense with 2 viable RBs to one where he will get the bulk of the touches pretty easily. And he's going to get a LOT of touches in an offense that is entirely devoid of other talent.Space Cowboy wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 3:58 pm Crowell was hyped last year and he fell on his face. Re: Sleeper candidates for Rb2 production?
Vastly improved OL in 2017 Cleveland along with Kizer/Kessler had people salivating, I saw Crowell go really early in a lot of redraft leagues. Just turns out Duke stole the show.skip wrote: ↑Sun Jul 22, 2018 11:11 pmI don't recall Crowell being all that hyped but I'll take your word for it...
