2QB Rookie Draft

Postby dynastysports » Thu Jul 19, 2018 4:53 am

Anyone have any solid 2QB rookie draft rankings?

I am sitting at 1.05, which I think is a good spot because I should have a RB or two plus a quality QB that I can take there. But I also have a chance to get to 1.03 for relatively cheap. I know it is hard to say if I should go up to 1.03 without knowing who is there or what I would give, so I won't ask. That is why I am simply asking for some solid rankings, even if it is just your own rankings and it is only the first round the way you see it.

Thanks!

Make sure to check out the SF/2 QB forum - several startups & rookie drafts have been posted there. As well as owner rankings I believe.
Please speak to clarion contrarion before considering the use of vetos..

I understand why you're looking for rankings, but they will only give you a small piece of help.

You need to determine who your top three players are. Then, you need to figure out your top five players. Next, you need to assess the likelihood of one of your top three making it to the fifth pick. Finally, you need to determine how big a gap there is in your evaluation between your third-ranked player and your fifth-ranked player.

Only at that point should you check the rankings: If your third-ranked player is someone going 1.07 or later in every draft, then it's likely that he'll fall to 1.05. If you don't feel that there is much of a gap between your third- and fifth-ranked players, then you can stand pat. If your third-ranked player is going in the top 4 or ranked as a top-3 guy, then you'll need to trade up to get him.

One final factor: If the price to move up is ridiculously cheap, then trade up no matter what. Odds are that you can trade out of the pick when on the clock and make a nice profit. Worst case, you didn't give up thaaat much.

I think you did well, only change I would make would be dj Moore before Sutton. I am a fan of Sutton and have him as my No2 wr so not a big change. Good job
