Kenneth Dixon

Postby Jcedwards » Mon Jul 16, 2018 7:48 am

Do you like him going forward?

Seems like his injury is behind him now. Think he is an afterthought now though or will he carve out a role in that offense?

He was getting rave reviews before his injury and suspension, plus BAL didn’t add a back at all this year in the draft.

Collins was only signed to a 1 year deal and Buck Allen has been nothing special in his career.

yea, im the fence of adding him as well.

many believe the talent is there. Just him catching up to the talent is the issue.

I like him. I think he will reclaim backfield.

Versatile rb that just needs to get over injuries.

I have any offer of Dixon and 2020 2nd for Eifert and 2020 3rd. Just trying to decide whether it is worth trading for him or not.

Bumping this thread now that he's active and played pretty well in Week 13.

Thoughts on his long term value now that you basically have 5 RB's (Jackson, Edwards, TyMont, Collins, Dixon) in Baltimore?

Except for Dixon, all of them will be free agents next year. Of course Baltimore will sign or draft other running backs, but adding Dixon now will at least provide you a window to sell until draft day with a chance of him being relevant next season.

I'd had him stashed in case he came off the IR. But then last week before the Ravens activated him, I ended up cutting ties to pick up Justin Jackson (Dixon was promptly claimed by another squad).

I believe he'll see touches heading down the stretch and into the playoffs if Baltimore makes a run. But as others have said I would expect the Ravens to completely restructure their backfield for 2019. Dixon figures to have some role there even in that scenario, but it's difficult to project just how large that role will be.

Just my opinion, but it feels like the team has soured a bit on Dixon. If they hadn't suffered the recent rash of injuries at RB, I'm not sure they would have activated him off of IR.

Hes on thin ice. But that's better than Buck and Collins who are drowning... Dixon is stuck in between the getter pass catcher, Ty and the more downhill runner in Gus. I like Dixon as a runner but I just don't see how he becomes the guy here

I think this week's game vs KC will be a big opportunity for Dixon. Edwards is hurt a bit and Baltimore figures to play behind all game. Game script should favor Dixon playing a lot. Let's see if his talent comes through as a runner and pass catcher in this game. I'm contemplating starting Dixon over Carson in a bit of a deperation play this week.

I picked him up off waivers a few weeks ago when the owner in my league just gave up (at the finish line?) on him. I figured why not? I'm curious what his contractual status is since hes always been hurt or suspended...but it sounds like hes a lock to be a raven at least next year while everyone else is likely coming up as FA/RFA's of some sort. He looked decent week 13...

x2 I think he could be the lead back next year. He's a tough runner

I'd be surprised if Baltimore doesn't add someone. They need a great RB to support Jackson.
