A Cleveland Brown will never make the Madden cover. That's crazy talk. 😉

That Peyton Hillis thing never happened! Yeesh, talk about Madden curses...

I a debating whether page 4 was too late to crack that joke. I guess it wasn't

I gotta say, I didn't think I'd be on a message board talking with a bunch of other dudes about Chubb falling this early in life.

Same here. Debated a whiskey Chubb vs a refractory period reference.

That was poorly written by me - goes to show how surprised I was by the article ;) - should have said:

I don't think the way you wrote it the 2nd time makes more sense. I can't see it, no way, no how. I could see the Raiders, and Gruden going all in on Bell, but not sure how they'd find the cap room.

According to overthecap, the following can be cut next offseason before June 1 without any dead money (ranking in order of cap space created by the move)- Cooper, Penn, Osemele, Irvin, Jordy, Gabe Jackson, Tahir Whitehead, Seth Roberts, Lee Smith.

The oline dramatically underperformed compared to 2016 and both projected starting WRs can be let go without penalty. Add in Bryant being a FA and Lynch potentially stepping away again and the offense could look completely different.

Another Option for Bell- Baltimore, especially if Flacco leaves.

The Browns are one of the least likely destinations for Bell.

Yeah I can't see how the browns would even be in the top half of the league for most likely destinations. A return to Pittsburgh has almost no chance of happening, but I'd still call that more likely than Cleveland, along with Houston, NYJ, Bal, GB, Buf, Mia, LV, Phi, NE, Indy, etc. being more likely.

Maybe Hyde will be allowed to walk, Chubb will be in the doghouse/on the trade block for throwing punches at assistant coaches who held him back from full out attacking Hue, and Duke will be converted to a WR due to the glaring lack of depth on the Browns...

You may wish to prepare a hiding spot in advance (to avoid angry Browns/Chubb fans) if any of that comes true

If his objective is truly reset the RB market, the Browns and their cap space make a ton of sense. Whether he uses them merely as leverage, like Cousins did the Jets, is more interesting.

The Browns - where NFL careers and championship dreams go to die.

At least Bell will be filthy rich, though. Good to know where his priorities are.

Agree with above poster - totally a leverage play.
