Tell me about Rishard Matthews

I have not followed him much through his career- How much value does he have going into the season? Is he a sneaky pickup this year?

an evolving offense with a new coach. there has been some rishard talk over the last few years....personally, i'll buy it.....he can play.

what would i pay???? he's a throw in or buy for future 2 if your a believer. i recently offered a good buddy shepard for rishard and a future 2....with a decline... i bounced back with with my future 2 for rishard and am happy owning both shep and mathews here.

for that type of value, he's a buy. i expect davis to command "a bunch of attention" mathews and the running game will benefit....not to mention that for all we know, rishard might earn a "fav target" role.

I have him in several leagues and he’s one of those guys that’s not a “sexy” player, so to speak but Mariota seems to like him and he’s more valuable to your team than what another owner will give you. I have him on one of my Corey Davis teams, as a handcuff in a way.

Hes a WR3 that is treated as a WR5.

If you get him as a WR4 or beyond he becomes a great option for an injury/bye week fill. 4 catches, 60 yards a game over the last 3 years.

I think he is a "Corey Davis breakout"-proof WR3 in fantasy.

i am adding him very cheaply where possible because while everyone is banking on Davis, this guy can be had so much cheaper and could easily be the WR to own on the Titans

There's been some rumblings on another fantasy board that he's been the focus of trade talks during and since the draft. If he's on the Titans week 1, he's a nice value as a cheap startable WR. He's produced and been efficient with both Tannehill and Mariota throwing to him.

I picked him and an lb2 up for a bunch low end upside (youth) guys in a 5 for 2 trade. I gave up a bit of value but am very happy to have him as my wr5 behind Allen Julio Watkins crowder . I was well over the roster limit and happy to turn risky youth into solid floor producers .

People are priming Davis for a breakout, so it can't be a bad thing for a cheap depth option

So what do we think about Matthews now? Is he worth holding on to? Is his health still an issue or is it more of the Titan offense being a train wreck?

He has now walked away from the Titans. Do you think he can have value moving forward if a WR needy team picks him up? I dropped him a week ago and debating if he is worth stashing to see what happens.

All depends on the landing spot. If NE worked out Kerley, you'd have to imagine they'll at least bring him in.

Why are we speculating in him going anywhere? He wasn't released. He's under contract with the Titans thru the rest of the year.
