I still think Collins is a great player, but man, that fumblitis got him bad and I doubt he ever sees the workload he'd need to hit his ceiling. Fully expect, Dixon to come back after the bye and take over as a lead back, then Balt to draft a RB decently high in the draft.
I think it's obvs now that Mixon will be a solid NFL RB. While I don't hold him in as high regard as some of the community, he should be good for the future.
Re that 2019 1st/2nd and 2020 1st trade...I wouldn't make it. The 2019 class hasn't been impressing me, and 2020 is too far away. That trade package as too many question marks, you'd have to get an actual young player with upside back on top of the picks.
If you just want to deal him, try for Guice and a pair of 1sts or something similar. That would be a far more fair trade (I'm not crazy high on Guice).

Fair enough, seems like a pretty healthy player to me though. I believe he didn't have any injury history coming into the league and while the meniscus tear isn't ideal he seemed to come back from it extremely quick. Much faster than Michel who had a similar procedure.

Re: Mixon to the Hall of Fame
Agreed. I don't feel like he's injury prone. But, because Gio is in town for this year and next year, he's an ideal handcuff that I'd want to own if I own Mixon...which is why I've paired them. It's almost the perfect fantasy 1-2 RB combo. Both are RB1's when they play. Mixon is getting almost every touch when he's in. When he's not, Gio is getting almost every touch.Titans95 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 10, 2018 3:24 pmFair enough, seems like a pretty healthy player to me though. I think Mixon is a top 10 RB to own in the league and he has top 5 dynasty RB upside.
Age starts hitting RB value hard and both DJ and Bell are 26. Next year at 27 people will push them down a little. At 28 they'll work their way to late RB1's in value...even if both stay elite in production. That makes room for a 3 down bell cow like Mixon to work his way into that top 5 sooner rather than later.

I was thinking the same thing. Do we really need to articulate that unspoken caveat for every projection or prediction we make? Seems awfully tedious.

He would never be the same after that. For his owners, they better hope that doesn't happen.ArrylT wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 8:03 pm http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000 ... 00-carries

I guess that depends on where your team is at in the year a player has a monster season. If you're contending and Mixon has a DeMarco Murray 2014 type season - and that propels you to a championship that alone could make owning him worthwhile, even if he has a Murray like career post 2014 too.FantasyFreak wrote: ↑Tue Feb 26, 2019 8:55 pmHe would never be the same after that. I just want him to see more targets ... he's such a dangerous receiver yet the previous coaching regime never worked that into the game plan.
Re: The official Joe Mixon thread
Mixon is my last remaining player from our startup 2 years ago that I've never traded away. I've traded away guys like Barkley, Cooper (both who I have drafted) and OBJ. But Mixon (on the field) holds a special place on my team. I'll probably never trade him at this point. I planted my flag, calling him the most talented RB in his class. Hes a bigger, faster, stronger Bell with slightly worse vision.

Re: Mixon to the Hall of Fame
After 2 weeks Mixon has 17 rushes for 27 yards, 5 catches for 17 yards, and 1 ankle sprain.
Is he just banged up? CIN run game in the crapper? I haven't seen any CIN game yet this year. I am not in a panic yet, but I am little worried putting him out there week 3 vs BUF.
