With the here for John Ross, I have Tyler Boyd sitting on my wire. Any chance he takes LaFell's snaps this year or becomes something?

Ross is a hold. Because Tyler Boyd, Cody Core, and Josh Malone looked all looked good at times so you got to think that Ross has a chance of showing them up given his draft pedigree. Health issues kept him off my board.

I love John Ross.

He allowed me to get guys like Kamara, Hunt, or Engram in a few leagues. It's nice having a 1.9 pick and basically getting a free bump to 1.8.

Ross is still a hold, of course.

Cincy didn't use that pick on him to have him be a bit player. Green will be 30 to start this season, Eifert's on a one-year prove-it deal, Boyd and LaFell's PFF grades last year were terrible. Regardless of one's view of Ross, it's guaranteed Cincy will give him every opportunity to become a focal point on offense in '18 or '19. I ain't saying I'm confident in Ross (for a variety of reasons), but I am saying Cincy wants him to be their starter on the perimeter opposite Green.

I don't have Ross anywhere. However, the thing that annoyed me about him was he had so little opportunity. I do like his speed and think he could earn a role, and my main reason for optimism for him is Marvin Lewis historically doesn't !like to play rookies.

Long term, I'd be worried about his injury history, and whether he'd take advantage of any opportunities that come his way.

I'm holding mainly because I have to. FA are frozen from playoffs until rookie draft. Trades are in play.

They drafted him 9 overall. He had injury issues and a coach that doesn't generally play rookies. I'll get to hear about camp and even a week or 2 of preseason before I have to make my decision, but hoping for some good news between now and then.

Nope, just a misunderstanding bud. I took it literally when you said you thought everybody was down on John Ross last year and was surprised considering your epic post count on this message board.

Ross' offseason work with former Bengals receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh has Pro Bowl wideout A.J. Green raving about last year's No. 9 overall draft pick.
He's got his confidence back. The way he's working this offseason is unbelievable. He's healthy and explosive again.

On the team that I traded Ross for M.Jones, I have a wr corp Now made up of OBJ, D.Hopkins, J.Landry,JuJu, M.Jones, Keelan Cole, Corey Davis, and Mike Williams. I absolutely loved the deal offered to me as I already had rookies whom I see as having higher ceilings and higher floors in Davis and Williams. I had no need to wait on Ross. In other words, Ross was expendable. M.Jones gives me very very solid wr 4 or wr 5 production. If an owner is operating a competitive team, Trading Ross for M.Jones is a slam dunk. If you are in rebuild, I'd likely favor Ross.
