I want no part of the Seattle offense to be completely honest.
Sheesh.

My league I own Russel Wilson he gets -.5 points per sack

He currently has less than 1 point. Thankfully I already handily lost so this doesn't matter

Carroll says Chris Carson "really took the lead at that position'' against Denver. Says Penny "looked a little rusty.'' Will find ways to keep using Penny but implication is they won't split time this week the way they did last week.

Week 2 and Penny already leading in carries in games. Penny is a rookie, he gets time to develop and he'll take the lead in this backfield. Anyone looking at a rookie with only 2 actual games of NFL experience and saying "well he should be better than Carson immediately then!" is just kidding themselves.

Last year, Seattle had a habit when in comeback mode of completely scrapping their offense and gameplan, putting the ball in Wilson's hands and playing backyard football. Last night it looked the same, and affected the RBs with Penny outsnapping Carson.

Heard on the radio yesterday that they had to use Carson on special teams because of defensive injuries, which led to reducing his offensive snaps. Don't remember where I even heard it, but supposedly that's what Carroll said.

Yeah allegedly Carson was "gassed" which is why he basically did not touch the ball.

Still - situation to avoid imo.

Maybe Carroll meant one of these other definitions of gassed and not just #6. ;)

Carroll has lost all control. He's flat out desperate at this point.

I agree.
I think he lost a lot of the locker room when he called that pass play at the 1 in the superbowl. Nearly all the defensive playmakers have been jettisoned or want to leave (Earl).
My Carson bias aside, it's starting to look really bad with him running Penny out there running for 2ypc, especially considering how teammates were talking about Carson all summer and their respective performances to date. If you're going to reach for Penny in the first when you have so many other holes, baby you better hit on that pick, and Penny hasn't looked the part.
I think Petey's time in Seattle could be coming to a close faster than people think.

You're on the money. If anyone didn't see the Sports Illustrated feature on the Seahawks just before Week 1... it's well worth a read. It's exactly as you say - they've been in a multi-year hangover ever since then.

Yep. Seattle is cooked. Thomas and Wright are unrestricted after this season. Wagner has a year left and they don't have much else after that. They may end up in a situation where they waste the best of Russell Wilson's prime.

Next year is his last year, scheduled to make 17mil. Free agency as a 31 year old QB.
